I may have an idea about the crashes and freezes prevalence with Fallout 3 and the DLC. I have the original fallout 3 from when it first came out. I also have the original 60gb PS3. So far to my recollection i have not had any crashes (glitches yes) knock on wood. I however have not had the chance to play the DLC to confirm my hypothesis. I am thinking that with the original PS3 there might be something with its bios or hardware that may be better for certain issue games such as we have with fallout 3. I am wondering if anyone would be willing to share their PSN DLC with me so that I might be able to test and see if there are any issues etc. Thanks.

I don't think anybody's going to give you their DLC
However, I have a different theory - Gamebryo hates waiting for resources to load, the PS3 can barely give it the throughput it needs, so adding more content can't possibly be a good idea.

i really think its the DLC because i have the original 40GB PS3 and i played fallout 3 without glitches or crashes but i bought FO3:GOTY and it gets laggy,it sometimes freezes in V.A.T.S. and it sudenly frezes so i think its the DLC'S

I've played it on an awesome full functional 60GB original and a crappy basic Slimline 120GB, and it played the same on both. Though it did YLOD on the 60Gb, but that wasn't the game's fault.

1) Buy them yourself

2) Yeah, the game freezes more with the DLC's.....not only that, but you also have enemies spawn inches in front of you from NO WHERE!
Its so annoying to be fighting through Broken Steel, to have a Hellfire Trooper with a Gatling Gun spawn literally this [ ] far away from you!
