As The Sun Sets

Ever since the Oblivion Crisis, Tamriel has never been the same. Entire Islands collapsed into the ocean. Cities have been razed to the ground for no apparent reason. All because of an unknown cause... Or was it?

Thirty years after the Oblivion Crisis. The Terror began. Islands sinking. Cities falling. The Emporer has decreed that an invisible barrier be formed around Cyrodiil. (OMG SOUND FAMILIAR???) The Mages are hard at work doing this. But your mission is to destroy the cause whoever, or whatever is causing all the destruction. Some say it is the work of The Mad God Sheograth, others say that Mehrunes Dagon has returned. But it all is the work of one, very strange man. Thought to have been killed and his realm destroyed. The writer of Commentaries on The mysterious Xarxes. Mankar Camoran has returned, seeking revenge. He plans to raise Mehrunes Dagon from his tomb, and open the Oblivion Gates once more. Mankar has hired many Necromancers and Warriors of Evil to aid him. He has also created new monsters that now roam Tamriel. Some of the original inhabitants have mutated, creating new creatures of themselves.

CREATURES CREATED BY CAMORAN
Gorgon: Also known as The Medusa, a Gorgon has the torso of a human, but the rest of the body is snake-like. They most often take on the female form and have snakes for hair. Their skin is white as clouds and their eyes are either a sickly green, or a blood red. An important note. Do not look these creatures in the eye. As they WILL turn you to stone. Be wary. These creatures are found in Eastern Cyrodiil.

The manticore: Is a legendary creature similar to the Egyptian sphinx. It has the body of a red lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth (like a shark), and a trumpet-like voice. It may be horned, winged, or both. The tail is that of either a dragon or a scorpion, and it may shoot poisonous spines to either paralyse or kill its victims. The creature's feet may also be of a dragon. Be wary, these creatures roam all over Cyrodiil.

List will be added to as more creatures are found. Or made............

MUTANTS
Giant Mountain Lion: If you have ever fought a mountain lion, you DO NOT want to fight one of these. Over 4 times the size of a minotaur, these Lions usually roam around norther Cyrodiil. As they favour the cold. Their teeth are the size of Dragon Claws, their tale has developed a spike at the end. It is filled with a noxious gas and if released, will kill anything within 20 metres of the Lion, they usually use this as a last resort, as it also kills them.

Mud-Doom: A regular mud crab, just twice the size and twice the strength of a normal one. They have grown SIX more claws and have teeth as sharp as a dagger. Although these crabs are big and strong, they are still relatively easy to defeat. They will hang out around warm water in the East and West of Cyrodiil.

The Overfrykt Matron: A copy of the Underfrykt matron. But seven times the size and ten times the strength. No one who has encountered one has ever survived. These tend to hang around the area near to Dive Rock. Though some have moved inland and roam around the outer edge of The Imperial City. They like their meat crispy, with a blood sauce.
Oh one more thing. They LOVE wood-elves...

WILL BE ADDED TO AS SOON AS I GET IDEAS!

In Game- Blade, Block, Heavy Armor, Armorer, Speechcraft, Hand to Hand, and Restoration

Physical Description: Medium length frizzy black hair, dark brown eyes, and thin eyebrows; no facial hair. Light brown skin, with average proportions; muscular enough to be called large, but not huge. He smiles only when speaking to others, but usually maintains the poker face that he was trained to have.

Spells: Minor healing spells, mostly for use on himself but he does have one or two for others. He also possesses many restore fatigue spells and has one custom spell that fortifies his health, stamina, and blade skill. Likes: Other people of his profession, nobles, and horses. His favorite foods are fruits and well cooked meats. He also enjoys good swords; sharpening them, or simply admiring them.
Dislikes: Peasants and beggars; mages. He hates sweet foods.
Fears: Daedra, dark wilderness, and water.

History: Born to a knight father, learned the family business since he was a child. His mother was a battlemage, and was always having experts come to see if they could fix his stunted magicka, who were always devising strange experiments to perform on him. Despite that, he learned many spells of restoration from his mother, and, on his eighteenth birthday was given his customized fortify spell.
He participated in many tournaments and games through his career, winning many trophies, but he rarely ventured into the wild. If he had to travel, he would follow the road. When the Oblivion crisis struck, he defended his castle valiantly, but was eventually driven back by the Daedra, who killed his mother during one raid. He never saw it happen, but carried his mother’s body back into the castle, and laid her on her bed. He also performed her eulogy.
After that, he travelled to the Imperial City and worked his way up to a place as a minor political official and a representative of the Imperial Legion. That is where he heard the news of the return of Mankar Camoran.

IC:
Finn made his way out of a tree he had slept in that night, and began his trek to The Imperial City. Hopefully some people got the note or read the Black Horse Courier he thought as he leapt over a small stream. He heard a rustling in the bushes and immediately drew his bow. He cocked an arrow and aimed at the bushes. The strangest creature he had ever seen jumped out. It had the body of a snake but the head of a human, it's eyes glowed a sickly green and it's hair was a mess of ugly, writhing snakes. Finn immediately let the arrow go, straight into the chest of the strange creature. It screamed and lifted it's arms as it burst into flames.
Finn sprinted away, always on the lookout for more of these strange creatures.
As he neared The Imperial City he slowed to a walk, he reached the bank of Lake Rumare and followed it until he reached Weye, where he hoped the others would come. He realised he still had his bow in his hands, and a guard was looking at him with his hand on his sword. Finn quickly put the bow away and sat down at the base of a tree. Where he waited for the others to arrive.

OOC: Before I make any kind of In Character post, I request the first post be changed. The creatures are ridiculous, and the beginning introduction is redundant and un-interesting. Please do not be offended, I ask this in the best interests of this Role Play. Thank you.

EDIT: I second that, three is not nearly enough. Be patient, and don't go around begging people. Please.

You're not Link and we should wait for a few more people to join. It's hard to continue an RP with 3 people and make it at all interesting.

So Darkom95, how many characters do you expect for an RP as awesome sounding as this? And by the way, the creatures are just a little oversized...

I feel that we need some kind of a concrete plot, less emphasis on the creatures, and more oppurtunity for creative expression. If Vum would please discuss with me any plans he has, then I might have a better idea on how succesful this will be. At the moment, with the current plot and the like, I do not see much beyond us. Perhaps a few more new RPers, whom I am more than willing to RP with, so long as they posses common sense required to write appropriately. Remember the Forum Golden Rule, everyone on here is just like you; the same desire for exciting writing, fun companions, and recognition.

Vum, you have my IM account, please drop me a message on that, not an email. Thank you, and I look forward to working and helping this RP.

EDIT: @Gallowglass- Exactly my point.

If you want to attract the dedicated RPers, make it sound more TES. That means pay attention to the basic points of each game:

1) Mehrunes Dagon is a Daedra - the Daedra cannot be killed, so Mehrunes Dagon was not killed
2) Mankar Camoran was an elf - elves can be killed, even immortal elves if their realm is destroyed
3) Islands disappearing and...what? What has that got to do with Mankar?

The plot doesn't really make sense, though, even to people who couldn't really give a damn about the points mentioned above.
