anticheat@crytek.com activity

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 1:44 am

This thread is only to stress the importance of what CH4NCE suggests: publishing a report of the activity of anticheat@crytek.com would encourage legit players to report cheaters. At the moment we don't have any way to tell if our messages are dealt with and cheaters banned, or if they are eaten by a black hole. Crytek, please give us some feedback.

Besides, it could be a good idea to create a blog, forum or site devoted to reporting cheaters and dealing with them: sharing ban lists, configs and so, many server admins seem to be doing a great job in this forum and efforts such as Omega's patch should be more widely known. Such site would not need to be limited to Crysis 2.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with CH4NCE's idea also!

UPSIDE:
* Excellent deterrent for wimpy cheaters (thats most of them)
* Big morale boost for community, soon to be on C3 forums
* Undeniable aggressive anti-cheat stance by Crytek
* Good C3 public relations

DOWNSIDE:
* Expense, available manpower...

Got an intern? Need one? Get one! ;)
