GOTY xbox 360 HELP : IV

Hi just bought a new goty for xbox,and i have a problem,my xbox doest read disc number two,i cleared all cache and still nothing,i dont have xbox live,and no connectivity to internet.
Dashboard: 2.0.9199.0

Help ASAP!

I have now XBL ,but and get some updates,but still oblivion goty second disc not readable,xbox showing me reading reading and after some time open tray :/ how can I solve this problem?

try another disk, if it loads then its the disk, if it doesn't then the Xbox is to blame,
My xbox used to do that to all of my disks but i got it fixed.
If its just the disk then return it if you can.

Other games,and oblivion disc one readable,but something wrong this disc two or maybe i dont know how to install expansions , because oblivion version is now 1.2.1 , then inserting disc two nothing happens,maybe some1 had the same problem,and has some suggestions please help

What version of the xbox dashboard do you have? There is supposedly a conflict between one of the older versions, and the disk...... granted, that has been some time ago.... that issue is detailed in the XBOX 360 tech problems thread, stickied at the top of this forum.

Got a friend with an xbox? Try the install on his machine. If not, might wanna swap out the disk from where you bought it.

Hi, I'll use this thread because the title is fitting for my concerns.

First off, I would like to apologize ahead of time, because my problem MAY just be the fact that I'm using an old clunker of a 360, and it probably needs the dashboard upgrade. (I'll check when I get home) But if not, let me describe my problem.

I have the GOTY edition. Yes it's used, can't find any new ones around here. Disk looks fine, and it 'seemed' to load fine. Unfortunatly, nothing seems to access. I mean, I've gone days in game time and the Shivering Isles message hasn't happened yet. Now, if I re-put disk two in, it still says I need to install the update patch, even though I already did. Every time i start up the game, it says 'loading extra content' as well, but nothing happens... Or at least, nothing seems to happen. Am I just missing something in setting up? The KotN and SI register as being on the drive, and use up memory, but I'm not sure. (haven't made it to Anvil yet, so I don't know about KotN working)

Also... My GOTY edition freezes quite often, and my Platinum edition doesn't read at all sometimes (which svcks, cause that one was brand new) so I figured I'd fix that problem by installing Oblivion directly to my drive! Unfortunatly, it's taking up space, and it's listed as being there, but I can't access it at all. It still makes me play off the actual game disk.

Anyway. My hopes are that it's simply just the dashboard update, or 'I the user' did something wrong. I don't want to have to fork out extra for a new drive, if that's the problem, when I'd rather save up for a new console that's not an old clunker... but I want to play now!

Please help if anyone can answer! Thanks in advance!
