heres the situation: Used to have Oblivion GOTY, got really far (in both expansions etc.) all worked fine and i stopped playing it. sold the game, and just recently bought it again hoping to play my original file, however this time i bought "greatest hits" the original oblivion. Ive been told that although my saved files are in oblivion GOTY it should be fine with an original copy as its the same thing.

anyway, on the opening screen it says something like content missing blah blah do you still want to load? and upon loading it crashes almost 2 seconds into the load process. every time.
i DO have both expansions on my HDD and am not sure whats up but i do know i dont have LIVE at the moment and from what i hear that might be a possibility as i may need to get patches?

already cleared system cache.

any ideas?

Why do you not have Live? You do not need to pay for a Silver subscription and you still get the game updates, and xBox updates. Consider plugging your xBox into the web and updating everything you can, other games too if needed. Then unplug the ethernet connection and return to normal, but atleast you'll have the current version of the game.
