DF sounds popping up in other movies : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

You know, it's really odd when you hear sounds from a game in another game or movie. For instance, in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UqFPujRZWo, at 2:05 she blasts the annoying thing with a spell and the sound is the same for casting a spell in DF. Another one that I remember was at the very beginning of Moll Flanders (terrible movie, but) they open a door to her cell and the sound was the very same creaky door sound that we've all come to know and love from our dungeon diving.

Any others? I swear that Warcraft II and DF used the same pig sounds.

I was watching a really bad Scifi movie from the mid90's and it had the door sound from Arena/Daggerfall. I was flipping channels and saw it, was the only reason I watched it. PostApoc movie, they were in a submarine and there was toxic waste evverrrywhere (panick!)

The door sound is used in a ton of stuff, its so creepy watching movies with it.

Yeah, I also tend to hear the door sound from Doom a lot in movies for some reason.

The fireball sound you hear, is the exact same as the fireball sound from the imps in DooM.
Many of the sounds used in games through out the early to mid 90's used sounds from something called "Sound Ideas' General series sound effects library", so I really don't find that surprising.
I noticed while playing Witchaven 2 that several of the grunts that came from different things, were the exact same from other games I've played.

I occasionally hear Arena's level-up synth fanfare in other contexts. Been a while, so I can't give any hard examples any more.

Every now and then I hear the screams of Command & Conquer (the first one and Red Alert) infantry in various movies and TV shows, usually low budget ones.

Oh yeah, I also forget about the Dark Forces scream (you know, when you fall a long distance and your character screams) I hear that ALL the time - more in movie trailers than in actual movies. Its always corny when I hear it outside of the game.
