Hello Everybody! my question is that i did not respond to Queen what ever her name is letter quick enough to get the quest to steal the painting but i got the Dust of the unicorn and i have done the main quest on a different class before. Is it possible to skip the part i was a idiot on and search for a long time looking for the tomb and use the dust on lysandus and then kill the killer or do i need to create another file. Unfortunately, if you blow the painting quest, you blow the Main Quest: it is not one of the optional quests. Sorry. :nope:

I always thought Daggerfall was harsh for its storyline quests. Botch one and you've botched the main quest forever. If only there would have been alternatives.

Isn't there a utility somewhere that allows you to reset certain branches of the MQ?

I've never used it before, but you may try it before ditching the character. Might mean you have to redo a few earlier quests in the branch, but it's better than starting over.

There's a good way AND a bad way to fix it.
Oblivion and Morrowind took the bad way.

That's a useful tool! Although I doubt I will go through the main quest again. I only did it once and I prefer living the life of a freelance mercenary who is not affiliated with any guilds.
