What house mod are you currently using?

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5873 in Caldera. It's cool. I would like to decorate it as The Sims game, but i don't know how.

http://neon.chem.bg.ac.yu/morrowind/mods/ by Spok. Not too big, not too fancy. Has the option for multiple exteriors and a magic door that can exit to the one you wish to go to.

Thanks to you, I know use this. it truly is an amazing house.

I thought so too, even though a bit big for my current needs.

I gotta say, I almost went with Jekub's suggestion, the Balmora abode from 2002. A beautiful, minimalistic space which I'd love to mess up with my loot! :P
Unfortunately it doesn't go well with Vality's animated grass as it alters the landscape - floating the grass.

I might just go with the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1254 'till I feel my character is ready for something larger; lots of great house mods in this thread though, keep 'em coming

Canadian Ice's .... Ice's Hideaway

Monica21's .... Buyable Ghorack Manor V3.1

Vagabond Angel's .... Nerevana Temple V2.0

Those three are always in my game, although I may try out new house mods now and then.

Other good house mods I have played with:
Abu Manor by Phoebe
Kaleigh's Retreat
Pearl Palace by Korana

Do you like to decorate your own house?
Check out the Moonshadow Temple mod by Shannon

There are MANY other exceptional house mods out there ... check 'em out :)

I currently use the "Balmora Balcony House," "A Good Place to Stay" (also in Balmora), "Lazarus Manor" (as previously stated, located in all sorts of places), and the "Bottle Home" (which I can carry around, and holds all the stuff I need/want on an immediate basis, and to which I have added several new rooms [an archery range, weapon/lockpick practice area, dormitory for companions, mucho extra storage, etc.], with "doors" to all the other housing mods I'm using [and, extra VTA Travel Agents to help "guide" my companions into/out of these various abodes).

Ain't the MW Construction Set wonderful?

I'm not sure if it counts as a house mod but my current telvanni char is based out a http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?id=5730&view=Mods.Detail Tel Uvirith, and the char before it (high elven vampire, later ecreated as a high elven lich thing) was residing in http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2859. BUUG doen't add much to the tower portion of Tel Uvirith so it might just be a town mod. However, I would recommend Vianden as it's an in game reproduction of a real Luxemburg castle so it's huge but believably huge, with portions of the castle that were built after the others and the modder created scores of new textures to make the diffent portions of the castle unique.

I'm not big on the housing mods. I only use two, Tel Magus and the Captain's House.

inspired by this topic i made a new house for my wizard. i now have a real high imperial style wizard tower in caldera you can only reach by levitation. i found my round rooms and now have 4 rooms to use: a library, a laboratory, a sleeping room and a kitchen. that's it, no weaponry as i will never touch any weapon or armor, no guest rooms, coz there never will be any guests^^

I am also using Lazarus Manor, location just north of Caldera. I'm also using the Empty Rent House in Balmora that comes with the Walled City of Balmora mod. That place is a great starter home. You can do a search for it at PES if you're interested but it does modify Balmora a bit, thus, I'm not linking it as it's not a stand-alone house mod.

Hmm, it just dawned on me that this is the first game in a long time that I am not using any of my own house mods. Strange, but true. :)

I used to use many, but I removed them all except a few small ones by Korana and Princess Stomper (like http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2925) and Bantari's http://www.bantari.net/morrowind/secrethideout/index.php (because Ravenloft is just too big sometimes)

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=329 is also one of my old favourites.

Although I recommended Yorick's Tower earlier in the thread there's a couple more which deserve special mention.
http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&ved=0CAYQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fplanetelderscrolls.gamespy.com%2FView.php%3Fview%3DMods.Detail%26id%3D2503&rct=j&q=Mysthaven+Manor+Morrowind&ei=RHWVS_7ZD4eVtgeToLzUCg&usg=AFQjCNH6jswK59Lc2SWit78rRtxncp3elA is a home that would suit any class. A terrfic mod if running NOM but still top class if you don't. It's my favourite house mod when not playing a Redoran.
If role playing a Nord http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&ved=0CAYQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fplanetelderscrolls.gamespy.com%2FView.php%3Fview%3DMods.Detail%26id%3D2503&rct=j&q=Mysthaven+Manor+Morrowind&ei=RHWVS_7ZD4eVtgeToLzUCg&usg=AFQjCNH6jswK59Lc2SWit78rRtxncp3elA is one that shouldn't be missed.

Wow! Somehow through all my house mod searches, I missed Mysthaven Manor. That place is incredible. Thanks for mentioning it. After looking through some of these houses, I almost want to make a new one.

Another good one: Bjorn Larsen's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2064 a beautiful house with perhaps the finest bedroom ever.

I started modding some days ago, figured I'd try to make my own house in Balmora. Going well so far, with a little copy pasting, mashup, and some creativity of my own :)

That's the best way to learn how to mod, I think, making a house. Not only do you learn your way around the CS, but in the end it's the only way to get exactly what you want. Houses are such personal things, after all.

Happy modding :foodndrink:

I enjoy Kaleigh's Retreat, a nice place just outside of Caldara.
I also use The Latest Greatest Housing Mod. Many different styles and prices plus a little storyline.
