Relz - Agent's Solitude

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:59 pm

Announcing... Agent's Solitude.

A home for a young, aspiring Hlaalu houseman, or anyone else who wants to live in Balmora.
It could also be a good home for a thief, or a guild mage, for example.
It has everything you need, and nothing you don't.

Description:
This mod adds a two room apartment available for purchase in Balmora,
from Clagius Clanler, for 1,000 septims.
The apartment features an alchemy sorter with support for both expansions,
full NOM compatibility, relocking chests, and plenty of storage.

This apartment has a main room with bed, sorter for alchemy ingredients,
self-relocking chests for security training, and custom labelled containers
for organized storage.
(The closet, and two of the small chests even visibly open and close!)

It also has a fully featured "Necessities Of Morrowind" compatible kitchen,
with additional custom storage.
(The custom storage containers use Danae's "Containers!" resource,
and the visibly opening containers use Phaedrus's "Animated Chests" resource.)

This mod can work alongside Necessities Of Morrowind, but doesn't strictly require it.

(This mod is designed as a Hlaalu counterpart to my other mod "Wizard's Rest",
both are part of an intended trilogy of house mods, one for each "Great House".
However, you do NOT need to join House Hlaalu to use this mod.)

The mod, and some screenshots, can be found here:

Already dled and tried, PES is not taking my comment and rating though (could be because I posted one earlier on) I'll try again later.

The linking book could be your signature feature, or one of them ;)

Just like in Wizard's rest, I love how 'livable' the house is, your really have a knack for placing the right items in the right spot!

Any chance you'd add a little display area? All my chars are very vain like that...

Can't wait to see the Redoran house!

Originally, all three were going to each have unique features that the others didn't have.

Wizard's Rest has an Alchemy Desorter, easy travel between the council house and Wolverine Hall,
and the linking book.
Agent's Solitude has relocking training chests, highly organized custom storage,
and an all-interior design for high compatibility.
The upcoming "Soldier's Peace" is intended to have mannequins and display cases,
a training dummy, and a Tribunal Temple shrine.

However, I am considering adding a linking book for both of the other houses as well.
Also, if you want a display room for Agent's Solitude, it wouldn't be much trouble.
I could make one as an addon.

You're right, it's better to give each house its own features and a soldier's house would have to be the one with the mannequins and displays.

Yeah... I should save the display room for Soldier's Peace.
I'll still make a Linking Book for Agent's Solitude, though.

Perhaps you could also customize the "travelling device" for each house as well? A book works for the Telvanni, an amulet with a Temple symbol (or a souvenir ashmask) would be nice for the Redoran, while the stealthy Hlaalu would need something easily concealable and rather plain-looking.

I think I second that ! Its a keen idea and certainly a different one . How about it , Gaius ? Perhaps a " cup of virtue " ? Or a bottle of Shein .....I guess the concept of " hide in plain sight " would be applicable .

How about a cheap iron dagger?
I can set the scripted teleport spell to an enchantment on it.

Or even better, how about an old coin, set as an amulet?

The coin was one of my first thoughts - and it even works better from the RP perspective - a weapon isn't something you'd be able to take everywhere and it'd be the first thing you'd lose if caught. And who would care about an old coin worth nothing?

It's settled then... an old coin it is! ;)

Thanks for the advice, Karpik777. :D

Thanks for the advice, Karpik777. :D

No problem - advice concerning transportation seems to be my speciality - my suggestion in the old (in fact I think it was the first one) RoHT thread also was chosen as the best option :D

It is now available on PES. :D
