A quick question.

This has been bugging me for a very long time, but if you have a thread your using as a story, does the 200 post limit still count?

You know it's in a pinned topic, one of the forum rules ones I believe, it's in a sub category called: Why is it that we lock all threads after they reach 200 posts?

You'll probably never see it, but yes. There are only four fanfics I can remember that went over 200, three of those were TES, and two of those have been deleted, I think. Also, you could have just PMed a mod.

When in doubt, ask the Hugh!

I'm getting there though! allready on page 7....
oh, but the story's only a few more chapters, then.... the end?

I think they should make a few exceptions for the story that should go above the 200.

Fan fictions and RPs do get closed around the 200 post mark. The reasons are indeed pinned in the rules topics at the top of every forum.

However, it is not normally a problem if they go over a few posts or indeed get restarted in another thread a few posts before the 200. Topics closed for post limit do not disallow another topic on that theme being made, unless a moderator specifically states in the close post not to make another.

Most RPs get closed around that 200 mark by the member managing the RP, he just links to the new thread and requests a close on that one.
With fan fictions, when the post limit is reached it is acceptable to open a new thread, repost the last chapter of the story and link to the previous thread.
