This is a sign up thread for an RP I've had in the back of my mind for a while.

You are a soldier, taken to training and taught how to kill. Then the war started. China invaded Alaska, America is fighting back. Stripped from basic training and shoved into the unforgiving cold of Anchorage. You are given some bullets, and a rifle and told to go out and kill, even die, for your country. You report to base camp to recive your bed, rations, and orders. This is where your story begins.

Weapons: (nothing outlandish, the american army probably wont issue you a MIRV)

Items: (again, nothing outlandish, and this is PRE-NUKES so no reason to carry caps around)

Race:Caucasian

Gender: Male

Appearance:6'1" Crew cut black hair and a goatee, scar on his left forearm from being bitten by a chinese guarddog.

Age: 32

Rank: Corporal

Armor/Clothing: Winter Combat Armor and helmet

Weapons: AER9 Laser Rifle, Upped the output for more firepower, but uses more Microfusion cells per shot. US Army standard issue 10mm pistol.

Items: Picture of his wife, Jane tucked into his armor.

Bio: Enlisted at the start of the war. This is his second tour in Anchorage. He is a magnificent fighter when he isnt drunk.


I will be RPing the american commander for mission orders. If a good RPer joins the chinese side ill let them RP chinese commander. Since well have people fighting on both sides, standard RP rules apply. Since we probably wont have enough people for all the soldiers, we could have each sides commander control the NPC soldiers, the grunts.

Sounds interesting, but wheres the detail? All you say is that its a Anchorage Alaska RP. If you want people to join your going to have more than that.

I'm currently interested and willing to join. However, I'd like some more information on the RP such as backstory and such.

OP. It is a good idea to give a backstory/prologue to the events that surround the RP. Others may be interested but a one line title does not give enough description of setting, the idea or the rough direction you want to see it take.

I want to join but you had no option for joining the Chinese, which I want to do. And don't put that they were evil, because if you do than you're basically saying anybody who engages in war is evil.

I made an Anchorage Rp once, but that was before all the others left, and myself. It went well, but it had a story to it.

And anunknown, if he wants the Chinese to be evil in his Rp, and have the Rp center around the Americans, that doesn't exactly mean he's saying that those who participate in war are evill. Its just the way he wants to take his Rp.

And I would join if there was a story... maybe?

Yeah I had one too, until it got ransacked by an RP-er who shall remain nameless (Enclaveradi.......) Had an awesome twist to it too, should remake it....

On topic, more story, T-51b was common during the war (for the U.S.A.) and its the AER9 laser rifle, and the AEP7 laser pistol, I assume that the P and R stand for pistol and rifle respecively

Ive edited in some backstory, rmoved some limitations, aloowed chinese RPers, and fixed the char sheet. (It was 2am whne i posted it)

I'm a little confused. How do you sign up exactly?

I wanted to keep it open. Since whoever joins can write for either side, I can't clearly define the backstory as well as I had hoped.
