I did a search and couldn't find an existing thread for this so I decided to create one. Who do you think is the best person to create the music for Skyrim? My vote goes to Jeremy Soule, the composer of Morrowind and Oblivion's music. Has there been any word on whether or not he is signed on to make the music for Skyrim or is that something that usually happens towards the end of the game's development? I don't know how this sort of thing usually works.
I'm a huge fan of Jeremy Soule's work (I bought the Morrowind and Oblivion sound tracks) and I REALLY hope they bring him back so that I can have more of his masterpiece music to listen to on my ipod.
I love Jeremy Soule's music as well. But I think it would be cool if we got Inon Zur and Soule. Fallout 3 also had a wonderful soundtrack and I think Zur is the best for dungeon and scary songs. While Soule is best at songs that plays while exploring and in a town, those with a happy mood that makes you dream and lose yourself in the game.
I'm hoping they got Soule for the soundtrack again, and judging from the music in the teaser trailer, I'm pretty sure they did. The song is the Elder Scrolls theme, but Soule wrote it so it is kind of his property. I doubt Bethesda would, and may not even be able to, use a variation of a piece he wrote if they didn't hire him to compose it.

Well, he is paid to write for Bethesda. So, anything he does while having a contract with Beth, is Beth's property.
I, too, love Jeremy Soule--I've been hooked on him since Knights of the Old Republic. Bosa--a fan who did music for Morrowind--would certainly be a good choice, too.
