Personal Items at Gweden Farm

***SPOILER ALERT******SPOILER ALERT***

Considering this is the "Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers" forum, that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

OK, so now that you've been warned, I have a question about the items found in the basemant of Gweden Farm:

Once you dispose of the 3 she-gangsters, you can get the key to the basemant, where you find the loot taken from the men of Anvil. Things like Ernest's pants/shirt/boots and Oaken-Hull heirloom, etc. My question is, can this be used for anything? I collected all the loot, and tried talking to the owners in hopes of a reward, or comment of any kind, but got nothing. Ulitmately, what I did was broke into their respective houses and dropped the items on the floor or on the bed and whatnot.

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone else has done anything with these items.

No, if I remember correctly, they aren't actually used for anything. Just to add depth to the quests. I'm glad they put them in, it made the quest a bit more immersive, but it would have been nice to get a little dialogue from the original owners too about them.

Some of the clothing is zero-weight, which can be useful. Such items can be enchanted and reverse-pickpocketed onto NPC's. The enchantments can be beneficial or harmful, according to your needs.

To confirm the above, no they cannot be returned or otherwise used.

And to agree with the above, it would have been a nice touch if you could do that. Even nicer if you could have some choice. Like either return for free, maybe use for black mail, or in some cases return to a different person (guard, wife) for at least dialog or something. Too bad you can't. Things are all set up for that to be relatively easily implemented. It would have been a great touch.

Heinrich's Shirt and Ernest's Shirt both look fantastic on a female Bosmer Character. Enchanted with 25%, Insert Your Elemental Shield Here

I never understood why Gweden's Farm remains closed for the rest of the game after you finish the quest. I think it should become a player house, you could receive it from the countess as a reward.

Certainly true for Heinrich's shirt: http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/ScreenShot694.jpg

I agree! It is too nice inside to just sit there permanently locked after the quest. A simple unlock command for PC users opens it back up and it does indeed make for a beautiful place to live. :)

Let's just say it doesn't stay locked in my game. But it does get a bit too crowded to get a good night's rest.
