Wow, these games are really cool but fallout 2 looks the same as fallout 1 does :( thats the only complaint, these games are pretty cool and i like how they used the old intro song from the original fallout in fallout 3.

Fallout 1 is truely a classic.

Fallout 2 is tries too hard to be funny and ends up being campy (tho it's a good game in general).

The days of isometric RPGs is fading into the distance, I'm afraid.

I would have to agree about the isometric RPGs. Now with advances in graphics and programming capabilities, all we are going to see is first/close 3rd person RPGs. I actually like it, but to each their own.

They're awesome. I think Fallout had more genuinely tense and edgy (occasionally horror film-worthy) moments than Fallout 2, but both are great. Just wait till you meet the boss in F1 (says no more of it).

Also, I think everyone playing F3 should give 1 and 2 a shot. It helps to give you a better persepctive on the lore and stuff, and also, you get a better idea of why some were so up in arms over F3.

Isometric view has nothing to do with technological limitations. There were plenty of first-person cRPGs back then (including Bethesda's Daggerfall), and there are isometric ones now (including Diablo 3).

Well, both were made a year apart so there were no improvements on the engine during that time, there are better protos in FO2 though. And if you hadn't guessed already, Fallout is a great series without the emphasis on looks, so alot of people, including me, don't really mind :)

And the nod to fallout 1 was nice, but it wasn't enough to turn me around ;)

Very true. However, now that Bethesda owns the rights to Fallout, first person is probably all you will see for new Fallout games. Bethesda has only ever done first person games, so I don't look for it to change. I too loved the old isometric games, but am perfectly content with first person Fallout. If they will just fix VATS, bring back traits and low intelligence dialogue options, and improve the quest writing I'll be happy as a clam. Oh, and keep those Fallout games coming! :)

I do miss the "War never changes...." speech from FO1 and 2. But so far I'm imensly pleased with FO3, there are some things I'd like to see added but I'll hope for that in FO4.

I'm playing all three in equal amounts. Well, FO1 the least since I've completed it a million times.
Started FO2 again some days ago, and now I'm at the Oil Rig (Enclave base). Here I come, president Richardson!

What do you mean can't get your head around, exactly ? I'm assuming this isn't a "I dunno how to do _____" problem.

This might be3 common for folks who Play FO3 first. The game style is sufficiently different that liking F3 wont necessarily lead to liking FO1/2.

Same is true for Fallout 1 and 2 fans and Fallout 3.

Yes, exactly. One would hope that these situations can be used as a lesson in objectivity?

The mod for stopping/altering the 13 year limit is http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1068. If you're talking about the 150 day limit for the water chip, that's apart of the game, find a replacement :P

You should find Vault 13 if you follow the trail. The best I'll give you is goto Vault 15.
