Favorite Moments in Elder Scrolls

What are your favorite moments in Elder Scrolls? I know it's been done to death, but I've not seen a thread like this in a while. Anyways, here are mine:

Daggerfall: As soon as I got out of the Privateer's Hold, it was night and snowing. It was playing (I believe) the Explore 4 theme. It was very breathtaking.
Morrowind: When I started the game and slept for the first time and being assaulted by a Dark Brotherhood agent. It was awesome literally fighting for my life and having to run away and buy a sword. It was so satisfying when I killed him and got his equipment. Another favorite moment of mine in Morrowind is getting Hircine's Ring. It was so awesome to just be able to kill all of those extremely hard werewolves in that room once becoming a werewolf. It also was awesome once I got out in the open in Solstheim and turning into a werewolf and jumping stories in the snow.
Oblivion: When you sneak into the Mythic Dawn's headquarters. Instead of sneaking around and disguising myself, I went in guns (or should I say swords?) blazing. It was awesome just killing all of the cultists by myself. Another moment that is my favorite in Oblivion, is when you walk out of the Imperial Sewers. This always stuck with me because Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game, I just remember how amazed I was with the size of the world.

Because there isn't a General Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers forum, we're going to run this thread here, with advice that major main quest spoilers for any of the games or expansions should not be posted.

Bloodmoon: Playing the Main Quest as a werewolf. Done right, it's continual sheer terror. I still think Bloodmoon is Bethesda's best work.

Tribunal: Walking into Norenen-Dur for the first time.

My reaction to finding Count Alessia Caro's torture chamber perhaps?

That very first time I got off the ship in Morrowind, and exited the Census and Excise office. And, as I didn't know much of anything of the game at the time, just thought, "What now?" That overwhelming sense of freedom and openness there still gets to me.

Best moment in any TES game is as soon as your set free, once you get out of the sewers in oblivion or when the census office releases you, that is always the best moment as it is so open.

Morrowind (main quest spoiler):

Spoiler
Destroying the heart of Lorkranangamdsf (sp?) and therefore killing Dagoth Ur. And then getting Azura to tell me that I'm the baddest mofo in the land.

Oblivion (yet another main quest spoiler):

Spoiler
When Mehrunes Dagon attacked the city in the final battle. I didn't think he would be that big...

This too. I heard from my friend that Morrowind was a huge game and I was genuinely afraid of everything because it was just so big and so real. I didn't know what would happen. Later I was killed by a giant rat in the first fighters guild quest in Balmora (I had no clue about the class system or how to fight)... :P

Oblivion: In a state of full vampirism I ran down a bay horse and killed it near Anvil.

There was also a beautiful moment when I realized how good the Morag Tong Armor really was (Marune's Razor plugin). Finally a character appropriate set of armor I can wear.

Oblivion: I have a few good Oblivion moments.

#1: Becoming the Grand Champion. T'was very fun kicking Agronak Gro-Malog's ass! W00T!

#2: MONEEEHHH! I made a lot of money from an easy dungeon... Well, easy to me...

#3: Discovering stuff. I love finding random things, as well as locations, in Oblivion.

#4: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Yes, I practically live in any house I can, whenever I can.

Defeating Golena Sadri, defeating Gaenor, and defeating Almalexia. After defeating Almalexia, I still have to teleport myself back to Mournhold. No worries with that though because I figured it out with a hints system. Grabbing all their stuff was certainly rewarding.

My experience with TES is limited to Morrowind and Oblivion only. It's difficult to nail down my favorite moments because there are so many. But there are two that come to mind most often. I remember picking up Oblivion the day it came out. I went home and installed it and started playing that night (Yes, I have the rated-T version). I remember I had just exited a cave, and jumped on my steed. I rode up a grassy hill, stode up to the edge of the cliff and looked over. I could see water, trees, grass, plants, and off in the distance I could see the Imperial City. It was a site to behold. I looked at my watch and saw it was already 2:00am and time for bed. It was this defining moment that I realized I was going to be living in this world for quite some time.

After living in Oblivion for oh, I don't know?several months at least, I was thinking back on some of the places I had explored. I remembered a cave I entered. It spiralded down. There was a waterfall and different rocky banks. I remember having to navigate from embankment to embankment down, down, down into this very unique place. I moved through trying to clear it out for it was crawling with undead. It was no easy task. I felt I was in over my head, but slowly and surely, I made my way through several rooms. I finally made it into this beautiful chamber. I was confronted, but able to defeat the creature, just barely. I was just barely alive. Strait ahead, I saw a chest. Fortunately, I was able to pick the lock. It was a good thing too for inside, I found a well placed set of armour as well as some other goodies. It was magnificant. I quickly stripped off my wimpy armour I was using and replaced it with this nice set, not a full set mind you, but an excellent upgrade. These goods had value, actually meant something to me. I strode off to find the exit. It was at this moment that I realized my little tedious diversion into this cave was well worth the effort. Then I realized, Oh yeah, that was Morrowind! This was probably my most memorable memory of any game I've payed. I know, kinda silly. It was nothing over the top or thrilling, but in a way, it was because it was at this moment that I realized just how immersive and unique this world really was, never knowing what may be around the next corner. In 2002 there wasn't anything else like it that I could remember. This was my defining moment. The moment that TES became something more then just another casual game. It was a game I could truly immerse myself in.

When I had spend some time exploring Seyda Neen and its surroundings for the first time, I opened the world map and was shocked to see how big the island was, and that what I explored so far was nothing.

Also, Tarhiel. :D

The first experience I ever had playing Morrowind and creating a character back when I was about 12 or so.

Also when first playing Oblivion, I always washed my hands before using the computer with a particular soap, and whenever I remember the smell of that soap I get a huge nostalgic rush of the first moments playing Oblivion.

Dagoth Ur's "I'm a god!" speech when you realize what you just killed was a weak illusion of him.

It wasn't my first hand experience. I was watching my mom play. She screamed at the screen "No, you're a son of a [censored] is what you are!"

There were a lot of moments in Oblivion that were just breath taking as far as the visual goes. I think one of my favorite moments in when you go through the strange door to the shivering isles. The room alone amuses me, I love the metronom on the table there. But then after you accept and Haskill exits the room.... and all the walls just break down into hundreds of butterflies.... It still gets me every time I see it, it's so unbelievably beautiful.

Another great moment for me was the very first time I ever played Morrowind. I knew nothing about the game and the amount of freedom was really kind of overwhelming for me. I got off the boat, out of the offices and just started exploring the town.... I walked into the lighthouse there and, like every rpg I had played so far... I picked up everything that wasn't nailed down assuming that the npc wouldn't care..... oh how wrong I was... I didn't know how to fight either... so when the lighthouse keeper attacked me for stealling all his crap.. All I could do was draw and sheath my weapon, having no clue you were ment to use the trigger button to actually use the weapon.... So I died there... killed by the random npc because I had taken everything I could...... I can't play the game now without remembering that moment every time I enter that lighthouse. There have been more than a few times when I killed him out of spite. Not very strong.. just makes it all worse....

I could mention a couple dozen quests from all the games that also apply here but I really don't feel like typing that much.... ^^;
