I really don't know what this guy is thinking. I love FO2 alot and buying the help guide would be cool and all but for that amount, I'll past. Best of luck to him.

anyone bidding for that for its content needs to be introduced to gamefaqs

Besides, everyone knows you can get a free copy of the strategy guide at Father Tully's Chapel in Reno.

Actually, the official guide does have some interesting lore bits, and was written by the game's lead designer.

But would it be worth purchasing for that much to you? You have to be a big fan to spend that kind of money on this. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan (I'm not active on other forums of games that I like), but my money is definitely better spent somewhere else. Hell, I could almost buy a car (yes, a very crappy one) with that kind of money.

I think it's a ridiculous price tag. I'd be very interested to see who buys that. Infact I'll wager it goes unsold. (Never seen a rule against betting on forums :P)

Someone should just post up the guide exclusives on a wiki and see the value drop ^_^ Then maybe I'll be able to buy it for a reasonable price :P

Unfortunately, I don't have the guide. If I had, I'd have posted all of it on the wiki a long time ago. I've only seen some bits of it.

I think you guys are missing the point. People collect the orginal "sets" of these interplay and bioware games. The fallout 2 guide is desirable but way overpriced at $400+.

For instance, I have the original box set of fallout 1. I also have the dual jewel case set with 1 and 2 and a separate copy of fallout 2 without the original box.

I own two copies of baldur's gate 1, one is my original 5 disc set, and my play disc set is the re-release of it with tales of the sword coast. I also own the guide book and the novel with this set.

Fans just like to have these things. =]

Its true
(I've got the original Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 discs [and TotSC] and the 4 CD Planescape set; Fallout 1 and the boxes for four of these ~I had two of the spiral bound F1 manuals, but lost one to the hurricane, and lost the other one...somewhere :banghead:)
