[RELz] Atmospheric Balmora for VBA

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:24 pm

I would not make a release thread for a mod of a mod, except that this is my first public release and I'm expecting there to be a ton of problems with the changes I made. If I made any mistakes I'd really appreciate it if anyone who downloads pointed them out to me. I tried to make sure that there were no evil GMSTs, I properly tagged the mod in Mash... etc etc. I feel like it's inevitable that I miss something, though... I've got my fingers crossed.

I got full permission from Lucien to release this, of course. :3 Thankyou Mr. Fairfax, sir!

Mod Description:
This mod is derived from Lucien Fairfax's "Atmospheric Balmora" which is intended to be part of a set by him called "Atmospheric Cities". Lucien's aim is to bring character to each of the settlements of Vvardenfell, drawing inspiration from early concept art of the game.

I say "derived from" because indeed, the .esps contained within are really a trimmed down version of the version of Lucien's plugin listed on PES at the time of writing. The main difference is that all West Gash style trees and Ascadian Isles bushes have been removed to make room for Vality7's Bitter Coast style trees which are NOT included in this mod.

This mod is designed to co-exist with the aforementioned mod, but technically does not require it. If you have used Lucien's version in the past, you will also find that the canol has been normalized, and that there are two new lights in Labor Town - one on Caius' house, the other near the water pump.

In addition to the above changes, the bench on the Silt Strider platform has been removed, there are three new crates on top of Caius' house, two new bedrolls on the east side, and several objects along the canol have been re-aligned to my own liking.

UPDATE: Now available at PES! Mediafire mirror still linked to, because redundancy is always nice.

Noooo. Not your's. That was my doing. It's fixed.

There was no reason for it, I've just been doing some brushing up on how to deal with GMSTs. When I opened it in the editor to fix the placement of some plants near Caius' house for the last time, I put the bloodmoon dependency back in the files on accident. The latest link shouldn't have the dependency, and yours never did.

I was thinking that I'd give this a shot. No one seems to have mentioned any problems, so I guess it works fine? I'll post if I notice anything weird.
