Mash Isn't Keeping My Savegames Clean Anymore

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:13 pm

Most of the time now for a while when ever I quit a game, if I go to Mash the save file is orange.
This use to only happen if the game CTD, or if I removed a mod that it was using.
Now it just seems to happen from playing them.
It's also very annoying because I have to:
Open Mash-clean save file
Open Mlox, re-do my load order
Open the manual pluggin re-order'er (have to move a few certain mods to certain places to keep things running smoothly)

Does this just come with the territory of having 200 + mods?

 No. :brokencomputer:
It sounds as though it comes with the territory of not using the lock times feature of Wrye Mash. :P

Forgot to mention I already have done that.
I set it when I was initially setting up Mash, jus' like it say's in the tutorial/readme. :)
Just double-checked, it's still on.

If it's the background and not the text that's orange it means you've a dirty installation.
You can normally fix this through the Anneal All function in Mash.

The text has never been colored, it's always been the small box to the left of my savegame(s).
Dirty installation? :ahhh:
I'll try that function and see if it fixes it though. Thanks Shiki.

I just realized you're reffering to the Install tab.
I'm talking about my save game files.

It sounds like mash automaticaly reorders your plug-ins. If you don't want this to happen, right-click the file column header and uncheck "Lock Times".

Whenever you reorder plugins outside of Wrye Mash, you should first uncheck 'Lock Times' then close Wrye Mash before reordering.

After reordering, the next time you start up Wrye Mash you can recheck 'Lock Times' which will allow it to preserve that new order going forward. You may also need to 'Sync to Load List' for your save especially if you've removed plugins or changed the load order from what the save previously had.
