[BUG][MPP1.64 or MCP1.6?] Huleeya disappeared

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:43 am

Hi guys!
I'm doing the main quest in Vivec (Vivec Informants).
I've found Huleeya in Black Shalk Cornerclub, calmed the locals and to escort him to Jobasha's Bookshop.
But when i went out of the cornerclub (just through the cornerclub's door), Huleeya disappeared, didn't follow me!
I can't find him anywhere. :(

I'm playing the goty version, with MPP1.64 and MCP 1.6.
No other plugins installed.

Anyone can help me?

I'm sure I've seen a couple threads about Huleeya not following correctly, but now I can only find this one: http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1011113&hl=.

Not sure if there was any reason found for it.

since i use mpp and mcp on a fresh install, no other mod installed. it shouldn't be a mod related problem. :(
anyway, thx for help. :)

It's been a while since I've played the main quest, so I can't help really help you apart from telling you that I was running the latest MW PP at the time, and encountered no problems with Huleeya on a game with over 100+ mods running. Have you tried RA on the cell he should be in?

No i haven't, and i lost the savegame. :(

I'll start a new game with only MCP patched.
Maybe i can find out whether it's because the latest MPP or not.

I'd be surprised if it was the MPP 1.6.4. The MPP does fix a bunch of Huleeya's dialogue, but AFAICT it doesn't change the script on Huleeya or the dialogue that starts the following. It's possible (but unlikely) that the MPP tickles some other Morrowind engine bug that causes Huleeya to stop following, but to be sure, I think some testing would be called for. Too bad about losing the savegame. I was going to suggest trying to restart the game again and retry getting Huleeya to follow you a few times to see if the problem is conistent, or only intermittent.

I also have experienced this problem in the past, but before using the MPP. I think it's just some sort of vanilla NPC following bug... Maybe an issue with the small corridors of Vivec? I know that my modded companions also wouldn't always follow through every door in Vivec.
