How to tell what's a safe container

Is there a way to find out if a chest is safe to use and won't respawn? There are several chests in different locations i use to store things and would like to know if they are safe but don't want to do the thing where you place one item then wait several days to see if it resets.

If you're on PC http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862 can do that for you but I don't know of anyway other way to find out without mods except waiting for it to respawn like you said.

edit: added a link

Thanks I'll try that out.

Would FormID Finder do that too? I have that.

I know you're looking for a chest, you can use the TES CS to check ... I've not had good luck with chests that were NOT installed by mods.

Yeah I'm pretty sure formid finder can do it too but with refscope you can just press x and point it at a container and it will glow green for safe or red for respawning which is a bit more convenient than using the scroll information from formid.

good thing I thought about asking this. I went and used refscope and found out a cupboard I was using to hold all my mage staffs was one that reset.
