Telvanni?

New to lore. I have a few questions:

*What are the Telvanni goals in their life? What does a nobleman of House Telvanni seek?

* If a Dunmer was born under House Telvanni, what are their expectations and ambitions growing up?

*Morrowind has slaves, correct? So do the slaves get paid for their labor in the mines or plantations at all? In Roman society slaves were paid an income, though it was hardly a lot, were even able to pay for their own freedom. Is this the same in Vvardenfell?

*Would a Telvanni Nobleman ever engage in gladiator fights as in the Vivec City arena? Not participating, but being responsible for some of the matches? Perhaps using his own slaves?

http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Akasha To practice their magic without interference from either the other Houses or Imperial Government.

To be a "might makes right" evil sorcerer...more or less. Telvannis are ambitious and will crush anything that gets in the way of their goals.

As far as I know, no, slaves are not paid anything. Mainland Morrowind may treat their slaves better, due to having more interaction with the Empire. Slaves are seen as the n'wah; foreigners that are a plague on the ancient Velothian homeland.

Never. A Telvanni wouldn't concern himself with such things. Telvanni Noblemen/Wizards hardly leave their towers doing research. In their place the send their apprentices to do their work for them (they're called Mouths).
tl;dr: Telvannis are hikikomori.
