[RE-Relz] EMACS Editor with Script Editing Support

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:33 pm

I just updated the installer package for Emacs with The Elder Scrolls Scripting support...
http://straygenius.com/index.php?title=TES_Script_Edit

The new additions are...
1. OBSE/Pluggy/Algohol/MenuMate/NifSE commands supported (can be optionally disabled).
2. Menu items added to the Options menu at top to support TES scripting:
a ) New Morrowind Script - opens a Morrowind type script.
b ) New Oblivion Script - opens an Oblivion type script.
c ) Auto-Indent All - for a Morrowind or Oblivion script, adjusts all lines with proper indentation.
d ) OBSE Plug-ins recognition - (defaults to enabled) toggle on/off the support for these.
3. Most editor functions were made to work with "Windows friendly" keys (key bindings).
4. When Emacs is started the "key bindings" (what keys do what functions) is shown.

Note that in Morrowind scripting mode the "OBSE Plug-ins" support does not apply
(wether it is enabled or not).

Overall, Emacs 23.2 was highly customized specifically for TES use.

RE-relz?! How did I not know this existed. I haven't done any scripting (yet) but do occasionally edit mods and their scripts. Can't wait to try this out. Thanks!
