Benny or Burke

Who do you think is a better ? Burke seems to be the sneak, tactical commando type person who seems to have received training from Talon mercs, rather cold hearted individual or Benny who can outsmart actually anyone including Mr House and almost ends up getting inside the bunker..

Both of them seem to be very interesting characters, its sad Burke did not have bigger role in F3. I can only imagine a conversation between those two

To be honest?

I actually -like- Benny. He reminds me of someone... an old friend of mine.

As far as who is the better 'manipulative bastard'? Hell, Benny pretty much wins that one hands down. Burke is... ugh... he's just sheer AUDACITY. There's nothing particularly manipulative or awesome about him. It's just... 'Holy crap, did you just ask me to NUKE a town? Without warning? Seriously?'

That's not even actually EVIL... it's just STUPID... stupid to the level that it will catch a person off guard.

If Bethesda hadn't spoiled their own surprise with him, and given the whole plot away... I might have thought Burke was JOKING. Or setting me up for some kind of a fall.

Eh... what do I know, though?

I'm just a megalomaniacal-sociopathic-psychotic suffering from delusions of mediocrity.

Benny at least took the chance and made a go at it. Burke's so much of a sissy that he can't bother to rig the bomb himself, despite owning a house in Megaton.

When you boil right down to it, Benny at least had the stones to try and fail. And as much as he disliked it, he still was willing to kill to achieve his aims. Burke couldn't even handle having blood on his hands.

To be entirely fair, I'm not quite sure he knew HOW to arm the bomb.

Or perhaps, if he DID, the residents wouldn't let him anywhere near it. None of them like him. They actually are GLAD when you've killed him.

That being said, if you bring Simms to arrest him... he DOES kill him. Like a coward. Shoots him right in the back. Of the head.

Only if you're not quick enough to activate VATS and blow *his* head off instead. Simms then thanks you for saving his life.

True... very true.

However, it does still show that Burke is -willing- to get his hands dirty. Just... not if he doesn't HAVE to.

Benny, on the other hand, is quite willing.

It's just that Benny-boy has a much more... mafia-style way of handling thing. He's just like every other 'made man' from back in New Reno. I like that about him, actually. My first play-through of Fallout 2 had me wiping out all THREE of the big families... and then taking over the strip.

Well, I didn't actually wipe them ALL out. I kept Bishop's wife and daughter alive... through some glitch or another, the daughter didn't turn hostile like she has every time since.

But no. Benny, definitely Benny.

Burke is pretty flat and lame, by comparison.

I believe Burke is more capable fighter since he is expert and coming and going at stealth, you can see references to moraierty's computer and how he kills Simms and the ghoul . While Benny is a lot smarter, if ever Benny was in Burke's place he would have blown up megaton and if it was Burke trying to get the platinum chip to the bunker he definitely would not have been caught since stealth is his specality

Benny is the far more capable fighter. Remember, to become leader of the Chairmen he had to kill his old chieftain in one on one combat. He's no slouch, he'd just rather not kill.

And the only reason Benny was caught before he got into the bunker was because the Legion's Dogs sniffed him out. Burke likely wouldn't have made it out of Cottonwood Cove, since the only access to the Fort was Benny having to share a boat with a bunch of Legionaries while burning through Stealth Boys.

I'm voting Benny. He's got the stones to shoot you in the head and also try and get into the bunker and is pretty accepting of the fact he's gonna die at the hands of the legion.

Benny. Burke is like a cheap con artist whose just new to all this. He's more of a recruiter or the HR guy of the whole Tenpenny/Talon Company mission thing. While Benny...he's still a class A *** but still has that Mafia "made man" air to him. Benny has everything that Burke has. The charming and polite nature, the snide comments, and even the way they do business. But Benny has the stones to go one step further himself. Burke would've never had the balls to shoot YOU in the face.
