I love the immersion i can get in fallout 3 and the freedom to do anything u want because of all the awesome modders and mods(kudos to them). I play with FWE and MMM mod on.. MMM mod is set on gradual increaseas my level increases, FWE allows me to make my leveling real slow and companions set to essential( they are basically annoying as they run away on their own,step on mines and following them leads you into a trap of 2 dozen ghouls) but still they are really fun. I never use fast travel, the game is soo fun and immersive and with 2x damage from FWE and MMM mod gives wasteland that real feel of vulnerability. Looking at the horizen from half a map away and deciding to walk to tenpenny towers across the dangerous wasteland and trying to reach there before sundown to avoid the ghouls which resurrect themselves sometimes when they die gives you an extra fun and tad bit scare to the game( you will know when you see 2 dozen glowing eyes chasing you at night)..

So i was really curious, do people use fast travel,do they really immerse themselves like this into a game or is it just me ? How do you really play your games ? just really curious

Me personally I tend to explore and find new weaponry and so by the time I'll get started with the main quest I'll be at LV 14

aye i use fast travel if i have something to do or a place to go, you know like selling various things ive collected to different traders across the map. but the majority of the time i wander the map. its the best way to explore & experience everything the game has to offer. anytime i got a quest i never started that quest straight away, i would always have had a good selection of quests to choose from, although ive completed all of them now apart from the entering the pitt best way to play fallout is to be a patient explorer & checkout everything.

I use Fast Travel a lot and play the game as stealthy as possible. For me nothing better than to be hidden and whack a guy at range. Or to set up a trap of mines and lead the baddies into it. Be careful to not set your mines to close together or they all explode at once.
