Holiday's in Skyrim?

So basically, I've been wondering: What if Skyrim had holidays?

On a certain day, I mad old wood elf wearing red armour riding on a deer would throw presents at all the civilians. (you can kill him, take all his stuff and end that holiday)
Or a day about a dragon that laid eggs containing items in them that could not usually be found. (you may slay the dragon if you see it.)

Is this a good idea? Post some of your own holidays!

It′s a bad idea, Nirn has its own holidays, I want those, if there were holidays from real life it would make me lose a bit of respect for the company to break immersion like that for something so trivial.

Like in Daggerfall? Yeah, that would be cool. But it's too much complexity IMO.

Think of it, you would have to record additional dialogue for NPCs so that they react to these holidays, you would have to script a lot of new stuff, and you would have to make different instances of the same enviromnent so that the decorations at these holidays would appear. And create a bunch of different AI packages for each NPC so that they interact with it.
