I was just wondering wouldn't it be cool if we could explore the whole of the continent in one go? But would it be possible to make the map and area of gameplay big enough for this given the size of each province?

A game of that scope would simply take too long to make. We would be looking at a minimum of 10 years to see a game like that happen.

Instead of a game with ten provinces the size of Skyrim, I'd much rather just have one province the size of ten Skyrims. But that's just me. :/

Exactly. To me, while Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim are pretty good, they're just not believable as an entire province.

To be fair in Morrowind we don't actually get to see the entire province, just Vvardenfell district. The entirety of Morrowind province is a good deal larger then what we see in game. But yes, a game encompassing all of Tamriel would take way too long to make. I don't see it happening, at least not any time in the foreseeable future, for that reason alone. Personally I want a game that is more like DFaggerfall in scope, one absolutely massive province.

Right but even Daggerfall is just one part of High Rock. Vvardenfell is certainly bigger than 10 square miles or whatever it was.

One thing you have to realize for every TES game so far is that size is arbitrary. Daggerfall featured parts of High Rock and Hammerfell and it was the size of Great Britain!

Besides TESO is going to do the basic world view of Tamriel and the TES series will fine tune each province. I would MUCH rather see one province ten times the size of Skyrim than Tamriel with all the provinces the same size as Skyrim or on scale with Skyrim. Imagine, city sized cities and town sized towns!!! Basically 3D Daggerfall.

No, I like how they make each game for one specific province. When the next xbox comes out tho, i'm sure they will be able to do a lot more within that province. Adding extra features and such.
