So I've made a patch for http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42148, and it works great.
While in Weye, I noticed a http://fencedude.com/Oblivion/MTCPatch01.jpg in the Wahnet Inn stable, so I open up the CS to fix it and find...there is a http://fencedude.com/Oblivion/MTCPatch02.jpg not showing up in the game at all.
I never even touched them when making the patch, all my edits were way over on the other side, where the stonemason's shop was conflicting with a building Colourwheel added.
I've found that the CS is quite capable of selecting items on the other side of the cell without your noticing it, and moving them when you adjust something closer. Sometimes moving things together is useful, and sometimes it's a pain. That's just a consequence of having a 2D interface to a 3D world. It's always a good idea to load up a mod or patch in TES4Edit just to make sure there are no unintended edits.

*sigh*
Those objects have not been edited. I have checked. They are not marked as edited in the CS and do not appear at all in TES4Edit.
Are the crate and barrel from Oblivion.esm or from the mod(s) you're patching? If they're vanilla, then maybe another mod disables or moves them, and you've "restored" only the bucket.
