Hey there

Is it possible to do the quest without being a vampire, via console command or somesuch to start it? I don't to mess up my game, but as I like Count Hassildor I want to be able to roleplay through the quest as if i'm doing it for his wife, as a favor for saving me during the Mages questline.

Its a fairly long and rarther good quest. I just don't want to have to become a vampire to do it.

Not being a vampire takes some of the challenge out of doing it, as waiting for the cure to brew is tricky for someone who can't wait outside during the day. But make a save and try "SetStage MS40 5" to see what happens. I don't think there's any dependency on your vampirism" once the quest is started, but it doesn't hurt to have a save before you try.

Edit: It does indeed seem like that will work, thank you very much, though I will use stage 10 to start is as a personal request of his after the Mages Guild questline.
