have completed the kotn quest,but i cannot get the blacksmith to work the forge?
the thing was i got the blacksmith the last time i played the quest (before i sold my last 360 and games).is it just a random event that you get him?

I don't think forges work in Oblivion? You'll have to get Skyrim for working forges.

He's a friend of Sir Thedret, the guy you rescue from Fort Bulwark. He appears after you speak to Sir Thedret, back at the priory.

There are smiths in the game. There's one in almost every town. They usually have shops, and they buy and sell stuff.
This guy becomes a permanent fixture at the forge in the Priory of the Nine. He does repair work, but doesn't sell anything.

yes sorry,i should have said how do i get the blacksmith who stands at the forge.i did manage to get a blacksmith join the priory of the nine (no idea how i managed it?) but it has only happened once
edit i rescued sir thedret also. am playing on 360 version if that helps? it's not a game breaker anyway if i cannot find a blacksmith for priory of the nine
