Type of Currency in Skyrim : V

In most RPG games they use a type of currency. In Dungeons and Dragons, they use platinum, gold, silver, and bronze coins. In Oblivion, they use Septims with the face of one of Cryodil's past leaders on the coin. So what do you think will be used in Skyrim?

Septims because even though the Empire might not be around, they would still be the most commonly found currency.

Gold/Silver/Bronze coins? Or simply gold coins to keep it simple.

Why would Septims be of any value anymore? You'd think they're worthless now that that silly little Empire that produced them has crumbled. Even more so why would they be used in Skyrim? We didn't use Septims in Morrowind, we used Drakes!

Drakes = Septims from all I know.

Wouldn't mind having an own currency for Skyrim. Wouldn't mind gold, silver, bronze, and simple, cheap iron as materials (not platinum, I mean, seriously... Gold should already be a hell of a lot more rare).

Septims. Why? Because i didn't buy the Oblivion Collectors Edition and didn't get the stupid coin, this way, i might get a new chance.

Really? I was always under the impression that the drake was the currency native to Morrowind, but hey, you learn something new everyday. Either way, that form of currency should be worth significantly less or worthless. The Empire is ruined, and the Nords hated it anyways, I doubt they'd support Imperial backed currency.

Whats the difference between dollars and money?

Septims have engravings on them with an embossed head of Tiber Septim on the front with the symbol of the empire on the back.

Gold is raw metal.

Even if the septims are gone I am sure no one is going to be calling the money "medes". They will likely still call them Septims out of habit.

Gold should work everywhere, and each county should have a local currency. The local currencies aren't worth as much as gold.
