How do you get your user name changed? Also, why does my gender not appear although I specified it? Finally, why do smilies not appear?

You will have to make a new account to change your name.

Your gender is specified in your account profile. You are a male as far as I can see.

Under add reply, press the smiley icon and the icons should appear to the right, select one, and it should appear in code, but will display when it comes to the real topic.

Live with your current user name? outside of that no.

Afraid not. Don't go asking the mods either, they don't like it. Just make a new account, it's no problem.
