The East Coast Convention- Main Thread

OOC: Alright a jump it is then. How much time? Say 6 months perhaps? I'll try and go back through the thread and make a list of all the deals that were made and give a tentative outcome to them or comment on their progress.

@bosmight The Capital building would still be overrun with super-mutants and a battleground. So that's a no-go for the convention. I like the idea of the Institute however.

OOC: I have to agree with bosmight on the 1 year time jump. More favorable, and allows a lot more to be done in a way that doesn't feel so "sped up".

I'd like to submit Tenpenny Tower as a prospective meeting location. Perhaps not this time, but maybe after the next convention.

Question: Do we get to write our own monologues for the end of this convention? Already have a very special one planned for Mr. Burke.

____

Mr. Burke - Tenpenny Towers

With the meeting coming to a conclusion and a draft of all held agreements being written up, Burke decided now was his time to make a move on the illustrious new leader of Talon Company; The one who seemed to be dead set on changing the stereotype that Talon Company is evil.

He approached the leader while the rest of the delegates debated among themselves. "I have a proposition for you, and the rest of Talon Company," stated Burke with a convincing yet conniving smile, "Mr. Tenpenny formally offers you and your mercenaries a chance at redemption. If you allow your force to merge with the current force of Tenpenny Estates, I can assure you that you and your men will be awarded handsomely. However, this will be your largest but final contract, as your company will be absorbed into our own forces. You will, of course, remain their own separate battalion; A battalion of which you shall general. However, with the wealth of sum we will contract you, no one would blame you if you decided to retire the life of a mercenary; f you do choose to stay, though, I can assure you that you and your men will be constantly strained and tested, and you shall be awarded glory and fame across the wastes, as well as a annual payroll. We will also require you to instill loyalty into your troops, so that they will fight for Tenpenny and its interests without regards to other contractors," Burke stepped away from the man, extending his hand out to secure the contract.

"So, do we have a deal? Any wealth of sum of caps to your choosing in exchange for your joining of Tenpenny's armada and the status of General? A chance for your men to do some real good in the world?" Burke smiled. "Well, I'm waiting,"

OOC: 1 Year time jump it is. We've got a few outstanding offers right now so I'll wait a bit.

So far we have suggestions for the next convention occuring at the Institute or at Tenpenny. Any votes for either one or other suggestions?

OOc: Sorry for the lack of activity today I've been busy. I would like to see the next installment take place at the Institute though that may just be bias on my part.

OOC: Perhaps it should be at Tenpenny Tower, so we can all see once and for all the security force at work.

Also the Abbey sent some doctors to be the Vaults medical personnel, until new ones could be trained (and I think that by a year, we have trained our new doctors).
