Agreed. Only microfusion cells for ammunition and oh-so-low damage in comparison to FO2. I'd prefer that they'd be lifted to their former glory, and if there's problem with balancing, just leave them for the later part of the game that has a real need for them. Even for the last mission, as long as they're done right.
Exactly. The next Fallout needs an absurdly powerful, long-range, semi-automatic M72 Gauss Rifle that bloody messes people with-out the perk
and uses the proper bloody 2mm EC ammuntion. I mean christ they added the stupid Fatman in Fallout 3 when there was an actual in-game precedent set for having such an over-powered and relatively well distributed small-arm like the Gauss Rifle.
