Is there a New Vegas Perk calculator?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 3:33 am

As I'm also a Skyrim gamer I found a Perk calculator so I could keep track of my characters builds, so I wanna know does something like this exist for New Vegas? (check link)

'Here comes the aeroplane! Rraahhh!!' ... Good Boy!
'Here comes the choo-choo train! Choo! Choo!!' ... Uhmmm nm nm nmm ... Good Boy!

...

Seriously K-9, must you be baby fed ?
Working out your build and the perks you take is part of the fun! Take the time to figure it out yourself, you'll be surprised how awesome it is to know and be able to do.

I am sure there is going to be members in this joint that are willing to lend a helping hand, if you decide to post the details here. But as far as I know there is no such calculator for FNV. (because it's the kind of thing many people that care to know do themselves in, FNV and in the Fallout community - spread sheets.)

Just my 2 pence...

You're welcome in advance :)

Instead of counting to 81, count to 25.

Ta-da, there's your "calculator."

If it's good food you offers then yes

I'm already making it on my own in Word and such programs, but some sort of made character builder would make it all a little bit easier.
So it would take little time and effort to make a new character, and at the end print it out to see attribute, skills and such minimum value.

Instead of counting to 81, count to 25.

Quit your day job and earn money on that

no there is no calculator that I am aware of (I looked), but once you find the perk page of the wiki and lay out a format in word or the like than it's really just as easy,

K-9,
it sounds like you've got the right game to have the mentality you have towards such knowledge and endeavours.
FNV, is DEEP... and rewards players that take such care!
I believe with your attitude and attributes, you can create supreme characters and do very well in the Mojave.

Doing tedious things manually is so much more sophisticated!
...?

Not that it's difficult to plan perks w/text but I see nothing wrong with opting for an easier route should it exist. I'd use a FO:NV perk calculator if it existed. One that showed detailed end results such as total skill points, health, resistances, etc. could be useful.

you don't need a calculator. if you have dlcs, and thus can go to level 50, you will max all your skills with average intelligence. as far as perks go, once you level up the first time, you can see all the perks. write down what you like, then pick 25. easy!

i don't see the need for a calculator in either game, but if you like it you like it; i also don't see how it's being 'baby fed' either.

I have played around 234 hours with well planned character for role-playing specific roles, but it take a little time to match skill and such so a faster way would mean more gaming :bunny:

Yeah, for if you want a perk you should also match attributes and skills so you have to check it all. With some sort of character builder program a chosen perk with show how high a skill and attribute in strength you needed.

There is a little math in it, as some perks will require planning to get together. But a faster way would be nice

I actually agree with this guy in a way.

I've played Fallout New Vegas since release (so going on two years), and I think that after all this time it would be nice to be able to casually lay out character builds. It would be a good way to calculate and share your own character's build, as the skill point spending/special/perk (which can all vary) setting makes for an infinite amount of possibilities for leveling.

Keep in mind, I wouldn't actually use it. I have two endgame main characters (+ a dead-is-dead character), so I wouldn't have need for a calculator. It would just be fun to play with.
