Morrowind remake, epic?

I'd completely ignore it, and likely complain loudly on the forums. I'd rather they give us a new game with original content, up-to-date mechanics and a new story. Not an old game with a new look.

Doing a Morrowind remake would only get them hate from their Morrowind fans and indifference from everyone else. Morrowind fans would relentlessly nitpick the remake and give it terrible reviews.

Leave the game be. Any remake would undoubtedly be inferior and spoiled by the same poor design choices Bethesda have made in more recent games.

This, exactly. Make my Skyrim more like Morrowind, don't make my Morrowind more like Skyrim.

You know what bugged me the mos prerelease for Skyrim? They actually said Skyrim has what made Morrowind Special. Frankly no, it didn't. Not for me. If you have Morrowind for Steam you can actually see that article up in the news part underneath your game in the game library.

Alright, if Morrowind was remade in HD by BGS and contained:

A full 720p 1080p/i support . Full retexuring . Character models, NOT textures, imported from Skyrim . Animations new and impored from past games . Full voice acting . Option to turn it to old Morrowind instantly . Updates to UI and Journal.

Could it be awsome?! Old players rememice, new players try the original, people who could not take the graphics get to play. EPIC?
I was going to vote, until I hit that wall. For me it would ruin Morrowind. Besides after Skyrim I doubt they'd try to remain faithful to the game with the remake.

Nope, not a fan of remakes let the game be what it is and move the franchise forward with future installments instead of backwards and remakes have tendency to kill the atmosphere of the game atleast for me.

I remember seeing that before buying the game. Morrowind was my first TES game and I had just started playing it the month before Skyrim came out, so going from Morrowind to Skyrim was a pretty big leap for me. That article kind of set my expectations too high. Damn Bethesda and their hype trains >_<

I learned my lesson with Oblivion. I collected every scrap of news on the game from the time it was announced in 2004 to the last days before Oblivion was released. I anolyzed every bit of info for possible hidden clues. I got way too excited about the whole thing. And, of course, when the game was released I was massively disappointed.

This time I ignored practically everything about Skyrim. I didn't watch any trailers, looked at almost no screenshots, didn't read any interviews, rarely even visited the Skyrim forum. I wouldn't be surprised if I knew less about Skyrim than anybody on these forums. And this time I was not disappointed.

Nope, that would be me. I hadn't even HEARD of TES until a friend told me he'd bought Skyrim on 11-11-11. He spent about an hour telling me about the series, and I ended up buying it.
I think it's fairly obvious that I'm not a big gamer ... I do play games, but I rarely get on the internet to find out about them. Or at least, rarely until TES

they have graphics overhauls and combat mods for morrowind now... and you can also play morroblivion mod with oblivion.
oblivion graphics with morrowind game. even heard of morrowind oblivion mod for skyrim to play three in a row in skyrim graphics and combat system.. i think people just dont want try and read anymore.

its the same reason they dont remake FF7 it would take forever cost to much, and be a very massive chunck of data putting all of that content the way it was into modern standards. voice acting half of the written conversations would prolly get you a half a terrabyte in data alone

Look! It has been done already.

It is and always will be one of the greatest games ever, that doesn't change -- why mess that up? Aren't there other provinces to explore? When do remakes go well, let alone video game remakes? How could anyone in good conscience think this would be a good idea?

Ms. Pac-Man was basically a remake of Pac-Man. Only just was made out of Midway's impatience with Namco... It still counts. Not saying Morrowind getting a remake is a good idea at the current stage of the gaming industry(it's still figuring out how this whole being a bigger deal thing works). Just saying remakes can go well. There also was that remake of a really bad horror movie called Mother's Day that came out this year. I heard it was much better than the original Mother's Day.

Since my answer isn't on there.

I would think that, unless it was just an HD texture pack, Bethesda will screw up the game some how and ruin it.

TES: 0 will svck. [just as a little side bar, and also, no.. most people are against it not for it.]
