I have some questions about the download content which levels are best to go through the new missions? is it like Fallout 3 where you can attempt them at any time? or is there certain levels where it's best to do them at?

They give you descriptions and recommended level requirements and such when you start a new game and the "successfully activated DLC" message box pops up.
