Do you even think it will happen?

I am looking forward to this game more than any other game I've ever been anticipating, but I do my best to avoid threads that speculate on how the game will be, or "wishlists" of what you want to see included in the game. Skyrim won't be Morrowind 2 and it won't be Oblivion 2. Hoping for any of those will only get you disappointed. Thus I don't speculate, and I don't have a 15-points wishlist Bethesda has to follow for me to be happy. I will wait until I get information about how the game works, and enjoy the game for what it is. Just as I have with every other Bethesda-game. Anything else will only increase the chance of you being disappointed.

Of course it's gonna be more of an Oblivion 2 than a Morrowind 2. Either way I will buy it and play it and beat it once, that is if it is more of a Oblivion 2. If it's more of a Morrowind 2, that's a different story I will play it hours upon hours and beat the game multiple times. Either way Bethesda wins so what do they care.

That's true. They're not just gonna revert back to Morrowind's ways for everything, and it's kind of ridiculous to ask them to. But for some things, like fast travel for example, may be subject to change in the following 11 months before the game releases, and if they're considering changing it, they may want to see what fans think about it.

Heres a few points from a Morrowind Purist (me):

2. I still want to keep alot of the features that were introduced in oblivion, such as the inventory

Wait, what?

I think I know what aAetc, means. Oblivion's inventory was so much simpler to use than Morrowinds. Everytime I start up Morrowind again it's the one thing I hate -- all those stupid windows that are never where you can find them and always have to be resized...

I've been wondering about all those morrowind purists that request all Morrowind like features that seem to hate Oblivion.... why do you even bother? its obvious that they wont take a step back and go back to all morrowind systems. There is one thing I am certain of and its that Skyrim will be closer to be an Oblivion 2 than a Morrowind 2.

What do you think about that?

Step back? How about wanting to undo the steps back from Morrowind that occurred when Oblivion was released?
Plus when people use Oblivion and Morrowind as examples, I doubt they are expecting Morrowind 2 or Oblivion 2 in their entirety. People are just using the old games that the same dev company made as a reference point/ bench mark.

I think that the commonly requested things from Morrowind svck cliffracer balls. They had better not force me to use the fast-travel system, boring (in my opinion) ashland terrain, or vague directions, again.

I think trying to flame bait the oldest crowd on this forum isn't going to work. And more than likely will get people warned or more as time goes on.

Perhaps the delightful quote from mother about "If you can't say anything nice..." would be good to remember over the next few weeks. At least when it comes to bashing fellow TES fans, regardless of game they enjoy more.
