The Land of Nirn - What Do YOU Want to See?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:48 pm

Don't get me wrong, I love Bethesda's work on all their games - preferably their lore. I know, I know, it's impossible to explain everything, but a lot could be answered. I'm sure everyone wants to see the land of Akavir, or learn about the mysterious Moarmer. But commonly we're placed in a new plotline that nobody saw coming. There's nothing wrong with that, in my opinion (TES always keeps me coming back for more), but I guess I feel that maby that Bethesda could throw us into a new land and delve into its undeveloped lore. Akavir, Pyandonea, maby even the islands of Thras. What if Atmora were to become a more life sustainable climate, and open for new settlers - not just the nords? And I'm sure we'll eventually get to experience a full-out war with the Thalmor (Or - if you sided with the Stormcloaks is TES: V - Skyrim and crippled the remains of the Empire, what if Tamriel were to be a free-for-all for all of Nirn?). And not to forget - those dissapearing dwarves that people want to learn more about.

That's just my opinion on the lore, and what I would like to see further developed. But nonetheless, with increasing technology, I'm sure future Elder Scrolls games will be PACKED with more and more lore as the series goes on.

So what lore interests you the most? What do you want to see - besides other provinces of Tamriel?

Definitely Akavir. I've wanted to see it since I first read about it (not sure if Mysterious Akavir was introduced in Morrowind or Oblivion). The tiger dragon, the snow demons, especially the monkey people. It sounds exactly like the kind of alien culture that made Morrowind so engrossing.

I want to know more about how the Redguard sunk their country, and the Ra Gada that followed. Sure, we know more about that than some crab people dwelling beneath the ocean, or some slug people, also living underwater, but western Tamriel in the early first era is what I am interested in most.

I guess 90% of everything is close to being totally unexplored, details of Tamriels provinces, Pyandonea, Thras, Yokuda, Akavir, even the kingdoms between Akavir and Tamriel. Let alone all those daedric realms and maybe stuff we didn't even know it exists.

AKAVIR! The many pocket dimense-ridden ever shifting "Outer Realms" spoken of by Yagrum. The rest of the clockwork city beyond Sotha Sil's workshop. The recently hotly discussed Soul Cairn. Akavir Akavir Akavir. Thras. The remnants of Yokuda and what may lay west of it. Did I mention Akavir?

Esroniet is the stepping stone between Tamriel and Akavir that the Empire used for its failed invasion of Akavir. It's port is called Black Harbor. It was ruled by Prince Bashemon during the reign of Uriel Septim V. So little lore about this island kingdom makes it the most compelling, actually, but I'm almost as curious about Akavir.
