Anyone Wan't to see a Non Moon Lorkhan in DLC?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:15 pm

I do not believe the theory of Dragoborn being a incarnation/Avatar of Lorkhan, i do believe he is Talos incarnate. But the Folks in Sovngarde mentioned Shor/Lorkhan is actually alive so he must be moving about somewhere and escaped death. So hes not the Moons anymore. I would love if the a later Dlc Focused on Lorkhan.

Thoughts? i posted this in the Lore forum as the folks here are more diligent and nicer than the guys back in the Skyrim General discussion forum.

I think that would be a good DLC add-on. It's one of those things that nobody really knows about much (Lorkhan) which makes it a perfect candidate. Plus, with all the mysterious things about Lorkhan (Dwarves 'n what not) I think Bethesda could create an interesting plotline there.

Lorkhan isn't alive, but he's still around - like a ghost. The Greybeards once summoned his ghost in the distant past (It's in the Songs of King Wulfharth.)

You don't believe the Dragonborn is an incarnation of Lorkhan, but you believe he's an incarnation of Talos? Talos IS Lorkhan.

Shor is most definitely not alive. He's the Dead God. That's why he's in Sovngarde. He also can't just not be the Moons anymore, that would mean he isn't himself anymore. Your argument might hold up if the Moons had vanished from the sky--which happened incidentally, it was called the Void Nights, and the details are obscure, but the Moons are back now.

Most games and DLC are about Lorkhan in their own way. He's a behind-the-scenes god that is ultimately responsible for everything, along with Aka.

Yeah, Dragonborn is Shor, in his or her way. So you play as Shor. Therefore your request was already granted.

Dragonborn is Shezzarine, because the Shezzarine is the champion of men (mortal Elhnofey that support creation). Dragonborn fights Dragons (enemy of all men and mer; as well as the enemy of Mundus itself) and the Thalmor (enemy of both Lorhkan's creation and men).

Lorhkan is dead.
Shor is the Skyrim PC
Shezzar is dead/evil

Talos was multiple men (3 or 8 Shezzarines ascending to becoming a single god; and yes this does include Tiber Septim).
If anything the Skyrim PC isn't Talos incarnate, but will become part of it.

In the past it was a running gag for a while on the lore forum to point out everyone is Lorkhan.

I think that Pelinal Whitestrake is Lorkhan (no heart, same motives, same attitude). So in essence, we have seen Lorkhan in DLC.

Pelinal was a Shezzarine. This is canon.

That would explain why you don't see Shor in Sovngarde.

On topic, I'd like to see a statue of Lorkhan/Shor in game, built by people who worship him. I expected to see one in Skyrim. Sovngarde is full of statues of hooded men, but we don't know if those are meant to depict Shor or not. We don't see an obvious sign, such as a hole in the chest, to indicate that it's him.

I'd prefer not to see Shezzar (or Lorkhan, or Shor) in any TES game. Keep it mysterious and unseen.
