Sacrificing damage for accuracy, as long as the damage isn't reduced for over 20% i'm fine.

When this game comes out, i will most likely use a SMG gun. What modification is the most useful to an SMG gun??

I am the same way, but my limit is usually based on how many more shots it takes to kill after the reduced damage. Decreaseing damage so that it takes more bodyshots to kill is fine, but when a weapon that used to take a certain number of headshots to kill starts taking another one, or even two, it starts to get annoying. So I'd be willing to take a bigger hit on damage on a weapon that does 33% damage on a headshot than one that does 34%. But then again, this is a lot more subjective with brink than other games, as no one is going to have the same amount of HP in this game.

The two main schools of thought are aim, and spray. So you might make your guns as accurate as you can and aim every shot, or stuff your gun full of ammo and just hold the trigger down, as well as increasing recoil stabilty to put as many bullets as you can on target. Aiming will tend to be better mid and long range, spraying will tend to win out short range.

But you're not even forced to fit into these two stereotypes. You might just increase fire rate and damage, and ignore accuracy/stability. In that case, you might miss a lot, but the bullets that do hit are gonna hurt.

If gun customization is truly balanced, it is going to be an expression of your own personal playstyle; what works best for you, not whats best overall.

Accuracy and low recoil, I'd happily take a smaller clip and rof for that, unless i have a machine gun, then its all rof and a massive clip.

High RoF High accuracy, good range, and sod everythign else. Spare what damage i can of course...

Lots a bullets, in a really small area, with enough range engage from a good range... Imagine being attacked by a swarm of bees... Now imagine all those bees are made of lead and moving 700 fps...

why not make it a OHK too? seems like you're asking for a SMG rifle with a tommy gun attachment, you're just leaving out your dreams of it firing continuous grenades and being available to a skinny.

I don't think hes asking for all that much. I'm sure there is going to be a rifle with a high rate of fire, and all rifles will most likely have accuracy and range off the bat. Add a reflex scope and fore-grip to improve those stats a bit, and then his focus would just be anything that can increase the rate of fire.

I don't get why you are suddenly offended by someone who wants to try to upgrade 3 stats instead of 2.

I like a proper balance of Dmg, Accuracy, and handling.

Reload speed is not super important to me. I have a back up weapon, grenade, melee, and I enter every fight fully loaded (almost OCD on reloading everything after every fight).

For my secondary, equip speed is king. Chances are when I need it, I need it NOW.

I dunno, I can't just say I'm going to tweak "this"... cause I'm going to use EVERYTHING.

I'll use the slow hard hitting weapons. THe insane RoF pea shooters, the super accurate weapons, pistols, EVERYTHING.

I can't just use 1 play style... that goes for my guns as well.

Oh, range isn't usually important to me.... I like mid range capability... but hell, I'll take fools on at mid range with a pistol.

Cut your quote off a little there, but I only needed the first sentence. Anyway,

The Devs have said a couple times that they're trying not to make any "weak" guns. Or weak abilities for that matter, but that's a different discussion. The idea is that one gun isn't stronger or weaker than anyone else's, it's just different. Now, that claim takes a LOT of balancing to deliver on, so a couple months or even weeks of the game's release, someone might make what is unquestionably the greatest gun out there, and we'd all be stuck either using it or losing. That comes from playin games like Guild Wars where if you don't make your warrior in one of the five builds everyone else does, you're toast. But I digress. Hopefully no super weapon will emerge, and everyone will have equal-but-specialized guns to fit their playing style.

"This is my rifle. There are none like it, because this one is mine."

that was pretty much the point of my post, i typed it in haste and without proper punctuation which makes it somewhat hard to understand i know and im sorry. but yeah i completely agree, and thats kind of what i was TRYING to get at :)
