Roleplay by Cirith
it's plain and simple:
a roleplay version of the Shivering Isles Expantion for Oblivion, with slight adjustments
Background: the oblivion crisis is over and restoring works have begun around Tamriel.
now just east of Bravil in the middle of the Niben a strange portal has formed, the portal to the Shivering Isles, Daedric realm of Sheogorath.
to make this story suitable for roleplaying some things will end up different here compared to the game version: for example we will start with an empty fringe and the gatekeeper will only be killed by a large enough group, but that will come later.
Roleplay outline:
we start in the fringe after the talk with Haskill, after a short while in the Fringe meeting with others and growing impatient and bored with the few adventurers who provide entertainment when they get killed by the gatekeeper, after the gatekeeper is defeated the roleplayers will head out towards New Sheoth and from there on we will simply do the mainquest with a few moments of rest between quests. but since it's a roleplay and the SI MQ has so many choices we'll just see where this goes to
Rules:
standard stuff: no godmodding, no giant plottwists that goes against the mainquest, no character control.
steer clear of one liners, if necessary discuss a conversation through chat or PM and let one post both sides of the dialogue.
every character must have some form of madness, it doesn't have to be as extreme as Bolwing's or Big Head's, little quirks can make it look crazy enough.

-Edit-
it also is allowed to enter with a sane mortal, but the monet they enter the Fringe their madness starts for develope, characters already with a madness can also further develope their madness or expand it.

Brief History: he used to be in the fighters guild, but eventually went rogue and joined a mercenary group called The Colovian Raiders, they weren't doing things illegal, but they were extremely deadly because of their tight formations and battle plans that allowed them to do prolonged raids lasting far longer in battle then normal soldiers. they often were employed by nobility with land outside the greater cities to protect their land or to retrieve stolen property from bandits.
at the beginning of the Oblivion crisis the raiders were the few to help cleanse the city after the gate closed and the castle was retaken by the cityguard and the hero of Kvatch.
after that they traveled throughout Colovia hunting down Daedra and occasionally closing a gate.
the mercenaries group had disbanded at end of the Oblivion crisis since most wanted to retire after the life threatening travels in Oblivion or to help rebuild Kvatch.
