Hello there

I just installed Morrowind again, after a long time playing Oblivion, for like the over 9000th time... And I recently installed MGE, or installed, extracted the files to the proper folders. But then, Morrowind wont work, I get an error message when trying to open MGE, and I get an error message when double taping the Morrowind Icon... Help would be very appriciated.

Did you try removing the dinput8.dll and d3d8.dll folders from your Morrowind file? Then load Morrowind, close it and add the folders back in. If that doesn't work, you should post in the MGE thread in this forum. Good luck.

Try right clicking over the MGE gui and clicking run as administrator.

Would be helpful if you could post what the error message actually is.

Okay, so I tried delete the dll's and do what you said, but it didn't work. I still get an error message when I try start Morrowind. The message says that the programme can't start because it can't find d3dx9_40.dll, and the problem CAN be fixed by installing the programme again, but I have tried that and it doesn't work, and yes, I tried install Morrowind all over again.

On the other hand, when I try run MGEgui, I get a normal XP error, where I can choose from sending the report or don't send.

Read the first post of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1083697-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/. You need to install the latest DirectX 9.

Probable the reason it won't work, I have reformated my PC^^
