Just Saying and Nothing Else

Many people say that Bethesdas writting skill is terrible but i thing the story in Fallout 3 was ok just poorly expanded. If it was more open ended and made things clear and allowed not to work with brotherhood and work with Enclave it would have been in some way better when New Vegas stroy because it was a bit like Mass Effect 2 just in post apocalyptic world

What I think you;'re forgetting is that in FO3, the BOS are almost pure nights in shining armour, whereas the Enclave are pure evil. In NV, Neither side is pure good or evil. Some are darker, or lighter than others, but neither is a 1-dimensional straw man.

Actually, I'm not sure the East Coast brotherhood are the knights in shiny armor some people think them to be....they shoot at non-feral ghouls which in some respects makes them like the Enclave. However, I agree that on the whole they are the "good guys" while the Enclave are the "bad guys", I also agree with the OP though when he says that really what the story is lacking is an option to join either side, which would have deepened the storyline more.

I think that bethesda learnt a lesson and what make the same mistake again. But i wouldnt like to see the player getting ready for last quest all the time like in New Vegas.

FO3 writting is bad because its not clear, so many quest fall short and pretty much everything is Black and White "Good and Evil."

Not everything, most quests have many different outcomes except for the main story. Which as idea was ok but poorly expanded.

I agree, I think there's quite a few side quests that are more "morally grey" and if not you at least have the option to do good and evil if the options are aligned as such (I.e. you can sell Bryan Wilks as a slave or find him a good home).

Which highlights the other writing problem - when there is an evil option, its usually at the end placed as an afterthought.

FO3 was intentionally done so there would be no grayness there. The main character either becomes the great savior of Washington, a region that still didn't manage to recover... or he becomes the one who destroys any hope of it recovering.

The problem with the story is not in its black&white focus, but rather that the story was not really memorable and a lot of potential went unused.

That what i said. Plot IDEA was ok in some ways better when New Vegas but it wasnt deep enough.
