Private Mobile Base by henkben question.....

Hello Everyone,
Im playing the pmb by henkben and ive enhanced the pmb and i was looking at the control panel(destination selector) and noticed a lot of destination arent showing up....did i do something wrong or maybe missed something?

Hey Qwert , I've played with this one also , though not for a while . When you say you've enhanced it , I take it you mean expanding the pmb via its inbuilt upgrade set up . Did you do all the upgrades ? I seem to remember a bunch of add-ons to this as well . I'll try and track them down . Might have to reload and have a sticky at it again . Cheers .

Hey there cg,
yeah i payed 90000 gold to expand it and in the control room theres no extra destination buttons just the original.im using pmb 4.2

Hmmm, I haven't played it in awhile myself, but you need to buy or get... ah, what are they called... I think golden saint power gems or somesuch. The guy who sells the upgrades in Caldera can sell these to you as well. Kinda pricey. As I said, haven't played it in awhile, but I believe each upgraded location requires its own power source.

Also, if you do a merged list and include the PMB, it has a tendency to break the mod. Learned that one the hard way. Henkbein in a pretty personable and helpful guy if you still have problems, and I believe he still answers his emails. At least he did when I contacted him awhile back.

ok i wrote henkbein and aint got a response anyone else had this happen and got it to work.
i know on planet elder scrolls about 3 people had this happen and left comments but didnt recieve any answers or what not.

Hey qwert , I had a quick look through and it jogged my memory : I think I gave up on this because something similar happened to me . PMB was fully upgraded and wouldn't function properly . There is , however , an add-on ( I did remember correctly ! ) : privatemobilebaseaddonpack 1.1 . It's by Nemo and includes a teleporter option that might just solve the lack of destinations you've encountered . Check for it on Yacobys ES Search . Also , I just checked and I got it from PES . Also , there are several versions of pmb . Which one are you using ?

Did you buy the power gems and install them in the destination columns? As I said before, you can buy them from the person you buy the PMB from in Caldera. I forget exactly how to install them, since I haven't played this in a really long time, but you need one for each destination column/pylon dohicky thingie in the lower control room. I did have some problems with the upgrades when I included the PMB in a merged list. You couldn't buy the power gems from the seller. That's when I contacted henkbein, and he said it was a no-no. So if you did that, I'd start over with uninstalling/reinstalling the mod. If you didn't do that, have you tried changing the load order? Personally, I never play without the PMB. Its a great mod. Never tried the add-on for it yet. Maybe next time.

whats happening is you know the buttons you push to go to balmora(for example)just isnt there...theres a row of buttons on the top but none on the bottom(i believe there should be another row of buttons).
yes i bought some power gems for 100000 and used them.

Hmmm, definately sounds like another mod is interfering with PMB. As I said, I haven't played the game in quite awhile, so I don't completely remember what the screen looks like for moving the PMB from one city to the next. However, I believe you can use Wyre Mash to change the load order. I think there are other programs that do it as well. As I've never had much luck getting Wyre Mash to work for me, I can't really explain how to do it, but I'm sure someone else can explain it to you. Sorry I can't be of more help to you. If no one else steps forward to help you, I would suggest uninstalling it then reinstalling it, which should put it at the end of the load order. I really need to get back to the game at some point and figure Wyre Mash out. I'm such a slacker.

It's been ages since I've used PMB. There's no specific load order mentioned in the readme but going on the modified dates of the files it's:
Private_Mobile_Base.esp
Private_Mobile_Base2.esp
Private_Mobile_Base3.esp
Private_Mobile_Base4.esp

At least that's what I put into the http://code.google.com/p/mlox/wiki/Mlox rules. There're some other load ordering things in there so it might be worth downloading and seeing what it has to say (it needed Python like Wrye Mash)

There're some add-ons to PMB by N3MO but, AFAIK, they don't cause this problem.

If mlox doesn't show anything then I'd suggest using http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=24 or the good old http://www.mwmythicmods.com/argent/tech/bin_srch.html.

Before all that though it'd be handy to see your current modlist and the contents of your warnings.txt file. Maybe something'll leap out at me.
