i was reading some post on tamriel rebuild map 2 and they are saying i dont need map one to play map 2. and others are saying i need map 1 and then some one said map 1 is outdated and its not needed. my question is do i need map 1 as well as map 2?

When you download map 2 it includes an updated version of the map 1 release, so you only need to download the mod from the map 2 page to get both maps.
