This is what is happening I’ve played this games a couple of times now and I had to erase all my saved data some time ago. Just started a new game and it won’t let me manually save the game, it says that it’s saving but there isn’t any file except for the AUTO one. So how do I fix this or is it a corrupted file now? I'm in Megaton now and it autosaves every time I go through a door but that's all. Nothing else is out of the ordinary, characters are acting normally and nothing in the background is missing. I honestly don't know what is going on, and I have had a corrupt file in the past but it wasn't an autosave file.

Kind of weird replying to myself but I thought I would put what I thought was the issue. Finally got it to save correctly but I had to restart the game again, when I named the Lone Wanderer I named her something ridiculous with a symbol in the name, and profanity was in the name as well. Anyway I'm not sure if someone can confirm this as a bug but for now just try to steer clear of symbols and profanity, I guess...
