Voices

Well, I don't want them to sound to gravely or too... Oblivion-ish. Just a deep voice, the gravely voice doesn't seem to fit the new look on dunmer.

The acting is super clean, doesn't take that much effort to understand for non english speakers (like me, although I consider my English skills fairly good).
I guess the acting doesn't sound like acting, but reading a transcript. But at the same time it doesn't really bother me that much.
The thing that annoys me is the speed they talk, which is for me waaaaay too slow, and the small number of actors used.

Yep to what Hoblak just said. Nice clean voicing, very clear for us foreign folks ; still could be faster. It's slooooooooooooooooow.

I want all races to have several voice actors, and I think that most dunmer males should have a raspy voice, like in Morrowind.

I LOVED how the Dunmer sounded in Morrowind. Please make them sound like that again!

Im not being funny do they even need to hire everyone if everyone of there employees had ago at a voice in a different accent! would work!

I could think of a few fans who would happily voice a character for free!

Money isnt the issue because they will sell millions unique character voices shouldnt be hard!

Problem is, voice acting is harder than you'd think.
You need quite a bit of practice to get all the expression right in your voice, as most games aren't particularly good at doing believable facial animations.

they should use some old texan uncle billie for all males and angelina jolie for all females, that be the most like immersive in histry.

honestly, i think extensive use of voice will never do fine really, as the games has numerous different situations and character dialog possibilities. But the gaming industry has often been jealous of the movies ind, so they think this is a must and will absolutely pursue this, till they get burnt for good ($ to say the least) or magically somehow succeed.

I imagine how much betrer a classic game like Baldurs Gate could be with voices, and i doubt that would make them any more impressive than they have always been..Maybe on top of the above, ppl are just getting too lazy to read / think, too.

Yes please bring the voice back.

And the mood. In Morrowind you were treated as an out-lander nobody at first until you fought (or bribed) your way into their hearts.

I missed this in Oblivion.

imo, instead of getting like 5 famous voice actors (really expensive) they should've just held some audition and get like 300 voice actors for the same price. I mean, for minor characters there's not many lines to be recorded and well, those could easily be done in one day, almost 5 actors per day MINIMUM. and yeah.

What i mostly got annoyed about. Is that there like 10 different voices for 100 characters. Like i want any character to have its unique voice.

So true. I voice acted a short film for a school project. Never doing that again. I am not looking forward to presenting mine. My acting is horrible.

But I'm not a professional, so whatever. :P

i want Wes Johnson, and i want Jeff Baker. i also wouldn't mind if http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/James_Lewis did some stuff, he was great in Fallout.

everyone else is grey.

ed i also want Wes to do the orcs because he does really good orcs and i would like to be an orc voiced by Wes because that would be delightful.

That is only because Dunmer are slow to trust, you where an outlander in their home land.

Oblivion didn't have that Dunmer sense of hostility towards those they don't know. Which is a shame.

To Godiz, Not to mention most voice actors can pull off a few different voices without it sounding like the same person, just think 300 cheap voice actors who are great and can do multiple voices!
