Good Name for a Dunmer Class?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:09 am

I just created a Dunmer character, had a lot of fun in the tutorial dungeon. When it came to making a class, I chose Combat as the specialization, then Intelligence and Endurance for the attributes. For the skills, I chose Armorer, Blade, Block, Destruction, Heavy Armor, Restoration, and Marksman. I usually choose five skills to focus on, and two ones not to focus on as back-ups or to limit leveling. I always have a hard time naming things, so, what's a good name for this kind of class?

*EDIT* I meant Intelligence, not Strength.

He seems set up like a Spellsword or a Crusader to me. Those are both good names for his fighting style. Paladin works too.

Ordinator, or armiger he seems to have the skill set to fill these "roles".
Or for a House Redoran feel try, Oathman, or Kinsman again they fit the Dunmer Templer / Knight role you have there.

I can't take credit for it, sadly. It's a very old Dungeons and Dragons class and it's been a pre set class in the Elder Scrolls since Arena, but I agree it's a kick ass name.

Your class set up is pretty strong..if you wanna RP pretty deeply or anything, there's nothing in the DnD handbook against Spellswords using bows. Most non Paladin fighter types can use ranged weapons, and Elves have a natural proficiency...in Elder Scrolls lore, there's no restriction anyway, and Dunmer have a racial bonus for it. Hunting is a big part of Dark Elf culture on Morrowind, so even the heavily armored guys would carry a bow.

If I could make a suggestion, use your bow for ranged attacks and learn touch spells for Destruction. That way you can switch from a bow to either a sword or a spell as your enemy draws closer.

Thanks for your thanks, but as Hairdo Galosh Jam I can not take credit they were Dunmer npc faction names, and joinable faction ranks in Morrowind.
