Current state of the art Telvanni mods

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:37 am

So I'm starting to get an urge to return to Vvardenfel once again. After I finish Dragon Age I think I am going to take the plunge and try my hand at Morrowind again to see what I've missed. I don't think I could play Morrowind without being Telvanni. What can I say? The Great House is the best! Anyway, I visited the mage page at Mythic Mods and it looks to be out of date.

Can anybody tell me the cream of the crop for Telvanni mods these days? I have a month or two before I start playing, but with mods it is always best to start early, I've found. So, if you could, please tell me the current popular playlist for Telvanni. I've gathered from perusing with the search feature that RoHT and Uvirith's Legacy are still modding strong. What else should I be on the lookout for?

I'll be updating Uvirith's Legacy in a couple months, so you chose just the perfect time. ;)

Other than that and RoHT, you'll want LGNPC Tel Uvirith (of course). That's the ultimate trifecta, with Building up Uvirith's Legacy (the UL compatible version of Building up Uvirith's Grave) as the big Uvirith's Grave town mod as well if you're so inclined. Karpik777 has an excellent Telvanni mods list here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?showtopic=804596

Hey, Stuporstar, thanks for the quick reply. I'm glad I popped in to check on the current Telvanni mod status. Hopefully you'll be done with your updates before I'm done with Dragon Age. I'm really psyched to hear that Legacy will be compatible with BuUG. I was just reading about that mod on PES and was afraid I'd have to pick between your mod and that one.

Yeah, you'll want to download Building up Uvirith's Legacy instead of BuUG. A few things are missing from BuUL because they're already versions of them in UL, like the prison, but other than that, you won't miss much by running both.

Let us not forget about the Tamriel Rebuilt Project's betas: Telvannis and Antedeluvian Secrets, both of which cover House Telvanni's territory on the mainland. The first map is VERY playable, with all except for the map's main quest and one or two of the many minor side quests already in place (besides, you've GOT to visit Port Telvannis at least once before you can call yourself a "true" Telvanni, rather than some local Vvardenfell excuse for a Telvanni wannabe). The second map is "playable", but there's a lot less to do there without any quests.

Rise of House Telvanni+Uvirith's Legacy+LGNPC Tel Uvirith+Tamriel Rebuilt= Overwhelming amount of Telvanni quests! :D

Then I added Cult of the Clouds and The Illuminated Order as well as additional quest mods... A wizard's work is never done!

Is Tamriel Rebuilt fun to play without quests? Is it just eyecandy or is there still stuff to do?

Well map 1 already has lots of quests. Map 2 doesn't, but features the huge dwemer ruin of Kemel-Ze, which you may recognize from the Ruins of Kemel-Ze book, which is pretty fun to explore. The exterior areas and dungeons of Map 2 have creatures in them, and there are also NPCs in all the settlements, already with custom dialogue. So there's a lot to see, even without quests. :)

LOL! You make me want to skip my Dragon Age and Baldur's Gate games and jump right back into Morrowind.
