Skyrim's Epic "Get Rid of the Plague" Quest

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:35 am

One of the Scholars responsible for the studies on Magnificent Specimen realates an absurd growth rate in two very distinct forms of life:

Cliff Racers, or the "Terror from the Skies".
Mud Crabs, the "Nightmare of Shallow Shores".

There is no way to finish them both at the same time. They are mortal enemies, yet their battles reach epic proportions, indicating they'll last balanced for centuries.

You cannot let that happen.

You must choose one side.

One to be friends with.

Which one will it be?

Oh Lord I really svck at editing, was supposed to be a poll... and i tried editing the title to include k in Skyrim....

I'd choose Cliff Racers, because they sing so beautifully.

Also, choose wisely: Remember you will be FRIENDS with the one you support. They will follow you to the highest summit and deepest, err, depths of hell, They will be your buddies :). Throughout the whole story.

I still think slaughterfish can destroy everything. If they need to get to land, i'll go into Spore's creature creator and stick some legs on there!

I'll be an Argonian in Skyrim! If they're still in... Hopefully...

Why do you lie?? Cliffracers aren't very magnificent either! I agree that it is scary how they swim, all sideways and crap (good times XD) But we can use there scariness to our advantage, to scare the cliffracers away

How did the title get fixed? I accidentally erased k from Skyrim when I started the thread...

this was supposed to be a poll, and I was surprised to see why the options were gone. Then, 10 seconds ago I did an Alt + Tab and guess what - I must have pressed Ctrl + N accidentally too, so the options where all there waiting for me... patiently.

Slaughterfish were frightening indeed in Daggerfall.... Should have thought about this!

I'd pick the mudcrabs, but only if I can have http://images.uesp.net//1/19/Giant_Mudcrab_Size_Compare.jpg mudcrab from greenmead cave.

I'll join the cliffracers side, without hesitation...

and now i want a summoning spell that summons a epic cliffracer god with a extreme luck score (over 9000).

Cliff racers so I can do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUMo2yQuzD4

And it's a great excuse for another Amon Amarth bombardment. I'll be surprised if there isn't some easter egg about them.

Cliff Racers, because who wants to be friends with a crab? Crabs are losers, everyone knows this. Cliff Racers are awesome!

Don't know if you need to do that. I've seen slaughterfish flopping around on land before in Oblivion. Seemed like the critter was heading in my direction too, tenacious buggers. :P

I'd choose Cliff Racers, because they sing so beautifully.

Also, choose wisely: Remember you will be FRIENDS with the one you support. They will follow you to the highest summit and deepest, err, depths of hell, They will be your buddies :). Throughout the whole story.

Originally I was gonna pick mudcrabs, but if they're going to be a tag along, I'd want a cliffracer 'cause I wouldn't want to have to wait all day for the mudcrab to catch up. :P Cliffracers could probably provide good aerial support too.

I'd pick the mudcrabs, but only if I can have http://images.uesp.net//1/19/Giant_Mudcrab_Size_Compare.jpg mudcrab from greenmead cave.

Maybe I'm mixed up in my lore somewhere, but didn't the Oblivion crises resurrect the Mud Crab King when the dremora sacked Ald'ruhn? The giant mudcrab shell that the Redorans made their HQ out of? If so, I'd sooner want that mudcrab on my side. :D

Definitely mudcrabs. They can swim, walk (crabwalk tehe), and disguise themselves as harmless rocks. And then when a cliffracer gets fatigued and has to land on that very inviting rock next to the beach, my mudcrab minions will SPROUT ROCKET LAUNCHERS AND MAKE IT RAIN THE BLOOD OF CLIFFRACERS. AHHHHGGGGGGGG

That scared the crap out of me first time I saw it.
I think i'd be on the Mudcrab side.

Crabs are not losers, many people and actually quite a few Imperial Guards have reported having fought Mud Crabs more fearsome than the Champion of Cyrodill.... I am not lying :).
